A fun, different racing game. The gameplay is fast and addicting and there's a lot to do. It does get frustratingly difficult, and I wish it looked better, but it's still a game that racing fans should check out.

This huge, time trial-based driving game is let down by budget production values and frustrating difficulty spikes.

In short, it takes having fun extremely seriously. As long as you've got the patience to handle it, you'll find that's no bad thing.

The debut of TrackMania on the Nintendo Wii is not bad as someone would expect, indeed. The game comes with poor but fast graphics, hundreds of tracks, a good number of game modes (including a nice online multiplayer for up to six players), a powerful track editor and the chance to share tracks and ghosts with the community. Give it a try.

I have no idea what the development budget was for Trackmania Wii, but with more resources it could have easily been the most impressive racer on the platform. As it is, it's hugely addictive, but also terribly sloppy. The final game should have been much better.

If you haven't gotten the PC version, you'll find a good racing game for your Wii.

Trackmania Wii is an exciting arcade racing game for Nintendo Wii. The gameplay is very funny but slightly hard for a less experienced player. In the end it's a must-have title for arcade racing fans.

Frantic, thrilling, fast-paced. A classic Trackmania with a good control scheme and an impressive number of trials.

If you are looking for a "different" racing game, you will definitely find it with Trackmania.

While the multiplayer has lost a considerable amount of its magic due to the much lower number of max players, everything else has been very well done: with over 150 tracks and the ability to create your own, achievements, and online multiplayer with up to five others, it captures the feeling of TrackMania perfectly, and will hopefully gain a completely new fan following.

It needed a lot more fine tuning to work properly on the Wii, but almost by default this still becomes one of the best racers on Nintendo's home console.

Trackmania Wii is a decent conversion of the best track editor ever. Creating and sharing you own tracks with you friends throught Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is just great and the single player mode offers lots of different challenges. It's an odd thing that the editor is not properly adapted to the Wii controller and there are too many loose ends. Anyway, one of the best racing games you can buy for your Wii.
  13. An addictive racer with some nice frills, though all but the most dogged may be driven crazy.

If you haven't gotten the PC version, you'll be pleasantly surprised by this on Wii - once you've got past the so-so early stages. [Oct 2010, p.52]

I wasn't a big fan of the series before, but I must confess : this Trackmania Wii simply blew me away, and really hooked me back up with this special type of racing game. The quality of this game is noticeable in almost every aspect of it, and it's easy to get addicted. With its particularly long solo mode, its build-it-yourself aspects, and its nice online play functionality, it seems that Trackmania Wii will become a favorite for many gamers. It's already one for me!

This Wii edition of TrackMania focused on being faithful to TrackMania, even if it meant being outdated visually speaking and too cautious.

The gameplay has been dumbed down a little from the PC game but it still works with the Wii controllers. Definitely a fun racing experience!

Any difficulty spike can be skipped or appreciated as a challenge! Others call it the best on the system but give it a 6-7, which speaks more to their attitude toward the system than this game. ACTION: diversity of track types, modes, vehicles, and the Excitebikeriffic track editor mean this game will continue to entertain for a long time. CONTROLS: Dpad and Wii Wheel both work well. Sometimes the controls feel a little tight but with ever increasing difficulty of tacks this becomes a welcome problem. EXCITEBIKERIFFIC: Ignoring for a moment the Wiiware remake, playing Trackmania reminds me of the original NES Excitebike more than any other game I can think of. Quick and deceptively simple tracks along with the editor are nostalgia gold. The music is almost as catchy too Full Review »
