I'm not going to give this game a 9 and then tell you about the mass amounts of flaws in this game. 9s should be reserved for games with very few flaws. The repetitiveness of this game as well as the Character AI really bring this game down. It was playable at first but then became a chore to wade through.

I am disappointed at this game, I was looking toward playing, but I was sad to find out the game is poor. I think this game needed more time in work and than it can be better.

This is very nearly a great game. Diehard fans of the genre might look past all the failings, but most gamers will be looking for the receipts in under an hour. The title lacks polish- boring dialogue, confusion, the elephant stomp running sound, etc...- to such a degree that it is hard for most gamers to enjoy. Deeper flaws in the game- repetition, clumsy combat, overly complexThis is very nearly a great game. This is by far the worst game ever. After giving it a try I snapped it in half and felt it was money well spent. Here's why. First, the weapons system is absolutely retarded. They break on you and you have to repair them or change weapons. BUT! You can only change weapons in a town and NOT when in combat areas. Hmm. How stupid? You have to stay buying potions to heal. They break on you and you have to repair them or change weapons. BUT! You can only change weapons in a town and NOT when in combat areas. Hmm. How stupid? You have to stay buying potions to heal. You get very little gold from quests and have no idea what you are supposed to do on them. For example, I was supposed to escort this idiot character Leonid (Like the mercenaries you hired who get stuck in dumbass places) who couldn't stop dying and there was no way to heal or revive him. The defining moment in the games destruction was when he kept dying right at the top of these mountains I was supposed to escort him through. Being the kind of person who wont stop playing a game until he masters them and seeing how completely fail this game is. My determination alone is why I broke it, lol. If I wouldn't have broke it I would have wasted to much time trying to complete a quest, not being able too because not enough potions, or weapon breaking at the end, having to walk all the way back to the first town. Stock up. Repair. Use the one way portal (another dumbass feature). And repeat the cycle until you run out of gold. By far this is the worst game I have ever played. The fun must have lied in the hands of the creators making it so success is no option. Expand

Lame graphics, bad sound effects and frustrating gameplay make this simply a game you should avoid at all.

It's a shame that Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga has such a slow pace, clunky interface, ugly graphics, sluggish combat, dumb AI, and lackluster overall presentation - there are actually some neat ideas in this action RPG. [Oct 2009, p.89]
  3. VK:ES has so many shortcomings and fundamental issues that it makes it impossible to enjoy any of its good qualities. It's a title that only the hardest of the hardcore action adventure fans might tolerate.
