  1. If you enjoy shooting, fast paced action, and beautiful environments, Bullet Witch should be a winner for you or, at the very least, will give you hours of pure entertainment.
  2. A decent shoot 'em up. A greater amount of run-of-the-mill enemies would have been a better choice. There are also some laughable AI issues with the big enemies. [Apr 2007]
  3. If you're the type to blow through a game once, pass judgment on it and trade it for store credit a day later, you're not going to get your money's worth here.
  4. It is buggy, ill tested, and not much better than draft material. With that said genre fans may find a little something to admire with Bullet Witch; whether it is Alicia's magical powers or some of the lively boss encounters.

I really enjoyed the combination of fast gunplay, unlimited ammo (and no dumb pickups or chests placed about to replenish health or ammo), and magic spells with very different effects. The graphics, with the sense of huge expanse, and the camera perspective, were very appealing as well. Most appealing of all was Alicia, who has to rate as one of the prettiest game heroines around (and sexy too, as anyone who has downloaded the pixie and secretary costumes will attest). All in all, a very fun game with much replay value--there are literally dozens of missions for download--that has been unfairly rated by far too many. Expand
  3. I actually find this game surprisingly fun. It's also pretty difficult to review I think.

On the one hand, it's graphically a bit rough wit
h a slightly choppy framerate, the gameplay is simple, the storyline is fairly simple, the enemies are a bit cheesy.

On the other, it's actually very fun and captivating, with some eye-catching, challenging and highly enjoyable battles and stages, compelling and engaging level structure despite its simplicity, great supermoves, a memorable protagonist, and is overall a game that I played from start to finish without even planning to (I simply got hooked).

It's a quality title. I just wish I knew why!!

God, this game sucks. The controls are lousy, the framerate is terrible. The AI is the stupidest I've ever come across, invisible walls everwhere and I have NO idea what's going on in this story. Expand
