Delivering a stunning performance, Academy Award winning actor Kevin Spacey stars as Jonathan Irons -- one of the most powerful men in the world -- shaping this chilling vision of the future of war. The game takes place in a plausible future in which technological progress and today's military practices have converged with powerful consequences. In this carefully researched and crafted vision of the future, Private Military Corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for countless nations outsourcing their military needs, redrawing borders and rewriting the rules of war. And Jonathan Irons, the founder and president of the world's largest PMC, Atlas Corporation, is at the center of it all.

Suit up for combat in exoskeletons that evolve every aspect of a soldier's battle readiness, enabling combatants to deploy with an advanced lethality and eliminating the need for specialization. Players experience enhanced player movement and verticality through boost jumps and grappling, covert cloaking abilities, and biomechanics that provide unparalleled strength, awareness, endurance, and speed. With the advent of the exoskeleton and newly advanced armor and weaponry, every soldier commands tactical freedom in any terrain unlike ever before, fundamentally changing the way gamers play Call of Duty across all modes

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a great game. It's not my favorite Call of Duty game or game in general, but it's great. The Xbox OneCall of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a great game. It's not my favorite Call of Duty game or game in general, but it's great. The Xbox One version of this is much, much better than the Xbox 360 version in terms of graphics and the ability to enjoy the game more. But I want to be fair and focus more on gameplay components. The story for this game is about the most average Call of Duty campaign that I've played so far, but they're all no different because they're all pretty much the same. The characters are okay, but since Troy Baker played Private Mitchell (and come on, we're talking about Troy Baker here), I think that Mitchell was my favorite, for obvious reasons. This game was noticeably optimized for Xbox One, so any moments that tried to look good (like a dropship blowing up and falling onto your drop-pod) look pretty bland. They look much better on Xbox One. But the true strong point for the game is the inclusion of the exo-suit. You can do everything from double-jump, boost-slide, hover, and bring up a riot shield that is literally on your FRICKING ARM!!!! This is the best gameplay controls I've ever experienced for a Call of Duty game. In multiplayer, the exo-suit is a game-changer for the series, allowing tons of new ways to evade and attack your foes. And with the Pick 13 system, there is more customization than ever. Black Ops 2 had a similar system, except there were only 10 slots, so this is definitely a step up. Matches are intense and exciting, and the modes perfectly complement the maps. This is a great Call of Duty game that will certainly please someone who is a fan of the series. This is a HUGE turning point for the franchise, so you'd be crazy to miss this one. Expand

It is just another cod but it is good fun. I find it hard to rate it higher than an 8 but while playing the campaign I found myself sayingIt is just another cod but it is good fun. I find it hard to rate it higher than an 8 but while playing the campaign I found myself saying 'this is fun' and 'oooh I like that'. There is nothing really innovative here really but the formula works well. The multiplayer has you coming back wanting more. The campaign while short is good. I loved Kevin Spacey. if you are on the fence I would recommend buying it. Expand

This is based soley on multiplayer. Advanced Warfare has the potential to be outstanding, but insane lag and lacklustre weapons leavesThis is based soley on multiplayer. Advanced Warfare has the potential to be outstanding, but insane lag and lacklustre weapons leaves something to be desired. Let's get to it.
Multiplayer: 4/10. The creators promised us a change to the classic formula, but the only thing changed is the method of movement; the upside is that we finally get a double jump. My first match in
AW was great with no problems or errors at all. After that, all hell broke loose. Lag makes opponents impossible to kill, and gives them the opportunity to mow you down quickly. Glitchy servers often
result in matches not functioning properly; A lot of times, you get stuck in spectator mode watching a player run up against a wall. These same servers often boot you out of a match, too. Another gripe with AW that I have, is that many weapons can no longer beat an assault rifle at range. Want to beat someone at a long distance with a SMG like you did in all other COD games? Think again, your bullets won't touch that guy over there at all!
Character customisation: 6/10. Helmet and outfit selectors are great, but preset heads just aren't enough. Add some sliders in there!
Graphics: 9/10. Standard COD fare. Insanely detailed environments and characters make the graphics a highlight.
Sound: 10/10. Guns sound great, voices are excellent, and the soundtrack is a blast as usual.
Overall: 5/10. Until the multiplayer is fixed, the score remains an automatic 5. While the sound and graphics are stellar, laggy multiplayer makes this a hit and miss. I recommend this game only if you're a die-hard COD fan.
