The multiplayer is the strongest it has ever been, and the coop mode has been expanded from an addition to a full-fledged mode. Modern Warfare 3 won't blow away anyone looking for anything new, but it will deliver enough thrills and quality to keep players engaged and coming back for more.

Modern Warfare 3 is what the fans expected - fast paced multiplayer action with some new twists and game modes that are a definitely a fresh breeze. But there are also a great campaign and the usual challenging Spec Ops.

Modern Warfare 3 doesn't do anything new, but it also doesn't do anything wrong. For better or worse, this is a slick and well-metered trio of modes that make an entertaining package, but Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward are simply looking to augment previous games rather than expand the series into pastures new.

Largely feels like an iterative title...This isn't to say that Modern Warfare 3 is at all a bad game-it's an attractive and polished effort with tight controls, addictive multiplayer, and the sense that one is truly on a battlefield, rather than carrying on a miniature war behind the scenes.

This is an exciting and rewarding game, but the series' signature thrills have lost some of their luster. Modern Warfare 3 iterates rather than innovates, so the fun you have is familiar. Fortunately, it's also utterly engrossing and immensely satisfying, giving fans another reason to rejoice in this busy shooter season.

Modern Warfare 3 doesn't reinvent gunpowder, but sticks to the recipe of the previous games in the series. With a decent story and good multiplayer it's a game worth playing, but the lack of willingness to add improvements in gameplay show a laziness often found in a complacent game series.

I think the people putting 0's on here are battlefield fan boys trying to wreck the COD games. I mean look at what they did to the web page. when we typed in the wed address we were taken to the battlefield 3 website. yes battlefield was fun but not better than COD. When you log on to multiplayer you get a game unlike the battlefield where you lose connection to the server in the middle of a game or can't connect at all. SO if you want a all around awesome game what are you waiting for get MW3 because your missing out on one awesome game. Expand

Most of the time the game is borderline great, but could never seem to get past that mark. Modern Warfare 3 does just that. The adrenaline packed story really pushes the boundaries for the series. SledgeHammer Games and Infinity Ward have really out done themselves.

Every level is well thought out and varied requiring you to keep on your toes. Enemies react and flank your position meaning you can never have your back turned for any period of time which makes healing a nerve racking experience if you haven't gotten a check point.

The difficulty of the game on veteran was a little disappointing considering the shortness of the campaign. I was able to beat the game in roughly 6-8 hours and had I played through on easy you'd be looking at a 4-5 hour game. Modern Warfare 3 is the one to beat. Next years Call of Duty better aim high.

How can you rate a game as a 0? When it is not a game.
The game adds relatively nothing new:
An over-the-top Michael Bays campaign (anywhere from 6-10 hours of gameplay)
    New Spec-Ops missions
New Maps (albeit reusing assets from even COD4)
    New Weapons

This isn't a game, this is an expansion to MW2.
When you innovate too much in a sequel, you can lose players by not keeping the experience of the previous game
When you don't innovate, your essentially selling the same thing two years later for $60.
TLDR; let me copy from MW2 like MW3 is:
