  1. Clash of the Titans – The Video Game might be repetitive in terms of fighting mechanics and it doesn't really have a plot, but it is good enough for hardcore hack'n'slay fans to enjoy.
  2. As it is usual with movie adaptations, Clash of the Titans is just a decent game, a bit repetitive and without anything remarkable within the multiple games of the genre we have seen in the last months.
  3. For third person action fans, you should really give this game a look, especially as a solid weekend rental, and potential purchase afterwards. Nothing about Clash of the Titans is outstandingly good or bad, so don't be afraid to give it a chance.
  4. After the first hour or so of playing I wished I were playing a classic rather than putting up with a new game dressed up like a classic.
  5. Clash of the Titans is not a bad-looking or playing videogame, it's just forgettable, and it has a number of confusing design choices that makes the experience disappointing.
  6. Clash of the Titans was a nice movie, at least an interesting one, but the game's quite a stun. The Unreal Engine makes a good effort in recreating the same atmosphere, using the original characters and a different perspective for the story, that we experience under the eyes of Pherseus. The Gods are going to pay their deeds, and we need to help the main character achieve his goal. Buy it if you're a fan of the hack 'n slash genre, or just a movie-lover. There's nothing new, but what we find's at least playable.
  7. The fact that the game attempts to surpass the standard tie-in speaks volumes. [Issue#60, p.96]
  8. Fans of the flick or of heroic tales will find a fair bit to like here, but uncovering it all can be a serious chore. [Oct 2010, p.83]
  9. Depending on your expectations, Clash is likely going to disappoint, and even with all its heart and extra features, the core mechanics are slightly dated, which brings the action down a notch.
  10. After 2 hours the game becomes extremely boring. There's no variety and the graphics look like they are from the previous console generation.
  11. It's impossible to overcome the tedium after the first few hours. [July 2010, p.103]
  12. Clash of the Titans is a predictable hack-and-slash adventure that is exactly the type of game that gives movie tie-ins a bad reputation.
  13. Clash of the Titans is a poorly made, extremely derivative game that missed its money-making opportunity when it missed the movie's theatrical release date.
  14. Yeah, it's bad. [Aug 2010, p.104]
  15. The individual elements of the game initially seem passable, but in sum they make up a regressive, repetitive game that only functions as a way to kill your spare minutes through raw attrition. There's nothing epic to see here.
  16. As it is, the repetitive missions and poor pacing are ultimately too distracting for the game's few virtues to shine through.
  17. The recent Clash of the Titans film was a mildly entertaining display of special effects. The game contains all of the film's camp but lacks the spectacle of million-dollar CG krakens to help save it.

It's a shame, too, because had it hemmed in the play time and polished the combat, it could have provided a lean and mean eight hours of satisfying God of War-like, gore-fueled fun.
  19. While this game will take you twenty or more hours to complete, it is so repetitious and clunky you'll swear it was closer to eighty.
  20. Game Republic may throw a whole bestiary of mythological Greco-Roman creatures at the player, but when killing them feels so unremarkable, the end result feels like a lot of wasted effort. [Aug 2010, p.127]
  21. Battle after battle after battle in an endless stream, all the game through, and the battles aren't even fun. It doesn't take more than an hour for Clash of the Titans to feel horribly repetitive.

Clash of the Titans is the not only one of the worst license games I've ever been tasked with reviewing, but is also just an awful game in every sense you can think of. It's ugly as sin, has terrible character animations and voice acting, and feels like it should cost next to nothing as opposed to as much as a retail game.
  23. Namco Bandai unleash the God Of Bore, with gameplay and graphics that definitely belong in another age.
  24. 30
Clash of the Titans is no different than the dregs of games before it; there are simply too many half baked ideas, repetition, and sloppiness to make this a worthwhile endeavor.

Putting a $60 price tag on this dud is tantamount to Charlotte spinning a web above her beloved pig friend Wilbur reading "Holy Jesus, This Pig Is Delicious," somehow believing the world would be better for the slaughter.
  26. Clash Of The Titans' many failings are all the more surprising given that the movie is just one of many CGI-heavy offerings accused of feeling more like a game than a movie.
  27. Cruddy game of cruddy movie non-shocker. The greatest legends of humanity, shat upon. [Aug 2010, p.99]
  28. I'll give the developers credit for the sub-weapon system, I think it's incredibly large and could have been put to good use in a game that had some interesting combat mechanics to it, but this good idea is completely wasted on another awful movie tie-in game.
  29. A wannabe God of War that pretty much fails to get anything right. Boring and repetitive action and completely unremarkable level design. Avoid.
  30. I could go on to tell you about the terrible graphics, the ho-hum animations, the appalling voice-acting, and Perseus's stupid shoulder shrugs whenever he speaks. But really, this game has taken up enough of my time and yours.

Absolute garbage barely worth the 150 character minimum to review. What on Earth were they thinking when they released this mess of a game? ItAbsolute garbage barely worth the 150 character minimum to review. What on Earth were they thinking when they released this mess of a game? It is far from ready for release. How dare they rush out crap just to make a movie tie-in date when the game is almost entirely broken. BLAGH! Full Review »
