  1. This steroid-pumped sequel works well.
  2. Despite a poor multiplayer, Doom II really is a great game and if you have never played a Doom title before I urge you to try it.
  3. It's certainly not as amazing as it once was sixteen years ago. But, it will scratch that itch if you feel nostalgic or if you have 800 Microsoft Points in your account begging to be spent.

  1. This is a very faithful port of the PC version of Doom 2 in all regards. Doom handles very well with an Xbox controller and the controls themselves are fluid and responsive. The original soundtrack is there and all the levels are fully intact, unlike many other Doom console ports out there. It's definitely worth it if you're looking to get back into Doom, but only if you enjoy the singleplayer or 2-4 player splitscreen. The splitscreen was a lot of fun and is great if you have other friends who enjoy Doom There is a distinct lack of people who play online, surprisingly, and it's rare to get a game with 4 people (the maximum allowable) that doesn't lag. All in all, it's a great port. The trouble is that it costs twice as much as Doom 1 does pointwise, sitting at 800 instead of 400. If you're not a dedicated fan, you're probably better off picking up the first one, which has more online players and the same hectic gameplay Expand

  2. wow, I can't believe I actually spent 7.5 pounds on this stupid piece of crap. i only played for 30 seconds and i quit, this game is just too dated and horrible from every conceivable perspective to be worth playing. 800 ms points? nice way to rip-off people MS! and how in the hell did this game get a 9 on eurogamer ? it may have goten a 9 two hundred years ago, when it was "state of the art" by those times standards, but by today's standards this game is 0. ZERO. the controls, the graphics, everything just plain sucks. Expand

Without a doubt, you can find a better way to spend 10$. The game should of been 240 points, at the most. 10$ for a game over 10 years old, classic or not, is just unacceptable. Expand
