Players can don the suit of Agent 47 as he takes on an exclusive assassination assignment. From a balcony overlooking a rooftop gathering, players will be tasked with taking out Richard Strong, Jr., CEO of Stallion Armaments, along with his entire staff of bodyguards. Skilled players will capitalize on score multipliers, hidden secrets, unlock equipment upgrades and marvel at the many creative ways one can discretely dispose of a body while they work to fulfil their contract in the most efficient way possible. The Sniper Challenge isn't part of Hitman: Absolution so it's definitely worth pre-ordering if you're a fan of the series. Asides from the fact there's only one level, the game is fun and addictive and it's not a bad incentive to pre-order Hitman: Absolution. Better than some extra guns anyway, that's for sure.

When all is said and done, Hitman: Sniper Challenge feels more like a polished PSN or XBLA title than the typical demo or cheap DLC item that is bundled with preorders. All it really needs is a few more levels, and it would likely sell well on the digital storefronts. Here's hoping IO and Square make it a full game one day.

For a game that can take mere moments to complete, there's an impressive amount of depth to Sniper Challenge.

If you're uninitiated in the ways of Agent 47, this may be a little bit of a wobbly entry into the series, but it's certainly worth it of you're a huge fan of the franchise.

Hitman: Sniper Challenge is a great appetizer for Absolution. In the beginning you may be a bit lost but after a few games you shoot people down like it's your job. You'll become a real hitman and that is perhaps the best thing a game like Sniper Challenge can do. If this quality remains in Absolution, expect great things.

Addictive arcade morsel and the most attractive pre-order bonus we've ever seen. [Aug 2012, p.84]

As pre-order bonuses go this is definitely a cut above, but it's also an addictive and rewarding mini-game in its own right.

It's simple but it stands really perfectly for the hitman-feeling.

I was very surprised that it's such a low budget pre-order + 1 little mission.
There is a ranking list, on which u try to improve your ranking.
Furthermore you gain some sniper awards which you can take with you over to the main game.

    I absolutely love it!
