  2. I really should give this a 9, but I just enjoyed it so much I can look past the weird glitches. Small glitches, like vanishing trams and slow texture buffing. But, because there are no 9.5's it's getting a 10. I played LA Noire when it released, I didn't like it, but something called me back to it. Whatever that something was I'm glad I heard the call. This game is hands-down the best story driven game available today. You have to take this game for what it is, it's a slow, brooding, dark and deep story-driven game you cannot go into this thinking you're getting RDR or GTA4 set in 1947s LA because that ain't going to happen. The lead character is an extremely conflicted, by-the-books war hero, who, quite frankly at times you'll be questioning his morals and motives. At times Phelps displays extremely questionable attitude towards other characters in the game, which the player cannot intervene. This is not like the Mass Effect-esque paragon, renegade system. Phelps' character and personality are deliberately set in concrete as it is all vital to the narrative of the game. The technical advancements made in this game are jaw-dropping. The exact duplication on 1947 LA is an example of the attention to detail and dedication the developers put into this title. Not to mention the 90 replica vehicles, clothing style, music, politics these all add to the immersing atmosphere of the game. The interrogation scenarios take a while to get used to but once you get the idea of what to look and listen for they are thoroughly engrossing. Searching crime scenes on my first play in June last year felt contrived and like the game was holding your hand, telling you what to do. After re-purchasing the Complete Edition I turned off the investigation assist chime and vibration. This is a MUST! You MUST turn the assists off because if you don't it takes away from the investigation experience. The Complete Edition is the way to go if you're considering this game, it has all the DLC included and all of the additional cases are excellent and add to the story. The script of this game is massive and the banter between Phelps and his partner(s) is also highly relevant to the story. NPCs are interesting and all are unique, I thought it was great when minor NPCs from earlier cases make appearances in street-crimes later on, a great touch. Over-all LA Noire The Complete Edition is a thoroughly enjoyable story based game, it's certainly not for everyone. I'd go so far as to say this game will not hold the attention of most players under 25, and its definitely not one for the kids. Its hard to pin-point an exact target audience for this game, but if you like the movie Chinatown, you'll love this. I'm hanging out for a follow-up, Rockstar funded and developed game, ideally I'd love to see it set in 1970s Las Vegas or 1970s/80 New York, imagine the possibilities. Expand

If LA Noire was a masterpiece, and in my opinion one of the best games ever made, this version with all DLC already included, which increases experience, and bring back to LA of 1940 to the fore. This edition creates something just as incredible that any player that if preze can not lose. Simply a Masterpiece Expand
