  • Summary: WWE Legends of WrestleMania embraces the leading sports entertainment organization's rich history to relive, rewrite or recreate the definitive elements of WWE from the Eighties and Nineties. Players relive the entertaining lives of more than 40 larger-than-life Legends and have control over Legendary Managers, each of whom play crucial roles in match outcomes. The game's new grapple-based fighting system captures the high-energy action and drama seen in vintage WWE matches, while a historically accurate representation of past WWE telecasts sets the stage, including dynamic visual treatments, signature ring entrances, renowned commentators and notable venues. WWE Legends of WrestleMania also includes a WrestleMania Tour Mode that allows players to participate in key matches from multiple WrestleMania events, a Create-A-Legend system to develop the Legends of tomorrow, as well as online functionality for players to compete on the biggest stages in WWE history. 1. Beyond the licensing, WWE Legends of WrestleMania is a smartly-designed game that enables studio antics to be more approachable to the common gamer. The gameplay isn’t dumbed down to the point where hardcore wrestling fans will scoff at Legends either.
  2. If you are expecting from WWE Legends of Wrestlemania the typical atmosphere from the 80s, a more friendly and enhanced gameplay and new game modes, that can make you relive emotions from the past, you won’t be let down. WWE Legends of Wrestlemania does this and more, making of the THQ game a must have for everyone, especially for the nostalgic of the 80s.
  3. 80
THQ has put together a pretty great love letter here for old school wrestling fans, and laid down a pretty good foundation for a new series.
  4. Legends of Wrestlemania does what exactly what you think it should. Despite some repetition and being short on gameplay content and depth, it’s a casual, enjoyable romp through the good ol’ days that put our childhood heroes (and villians) on a pedestal.
  5. The glory days of '80s/'90s wrestling is an appropriately arcade style affair and all the better for it.
  6. In the end, Legends of WrestleMania fails to completely live up to its potential, but does provide a fun experience for a short time.
  7. Unfortunately, the simplicity went a notch too far, and instead of a fun, arcade-like romp through memories of wrestling yesteryear, we're left with a wrestling game that has the best roster in 10 years, but some of the least challenging and least fun gameplay.
