With a unique tongue-in-cheek take on the original adventures, LEGO Indiana Jones follows Dr. Jones escapades through the jungles of South America to the mountaintops of India. Fans can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments, from Indy's entanglements with snakes to his dashing boulder run. Pop culture's most iconic archeologist whips through all the classic moments with the help of a host of supporting characters including Marion Ravenwood and Short Round. Players can also mix and match the body parts of more than 60 playable characters to create new heroes just as they could in the LEGO Star Wars games. [LucasArts] Expand

The tone might be almost overwhelmingly saccharine sweet, with even the caricature Nazis of the films stripped of their insignia and leering malice, but all gamers, young or old, are virtually guaranteed a great time. [July 2008, p.78]
  2. Lego Indy doesn’t vary much in scope and content from the previous titles that the pair have worked on, but it’s still a fun game to play and a smart take on the game-from-a-movie process, which more times than not turns out to be lacking in the “game” portion. Most of all, it makes me wonder what they’ll team up on next.
  3. Recreates the happy and easy-going gameplay familiar from Lego Star Wars. As fun and humorous as it is, it does not provide challenge for a seasoned gamer. [June 2008]
  4. For LEGO and Indy fans, this game is a revelation! The funny scenes, in which Traveller’s Tales make fun of themselves, are one of the best parts of LEGO Indiana Jones.
  5. There’s still a lot of entertainment value here: the cutscenes, the puzzles, the whip, the unlockable areas, the light-hearted humor. But, moreso than with Lego Star Wars, you don’t need a microscope to see the flaws in this shiny new jewel.
  6. In gameplay terms it represents a commendable improvement on an already solid framework and seems to captivate its young players with the same gently challenging grip o' fun as LEGO Star Wars did. It's just a shame that this evolution seems to have come at the expense of many of the peripheral activities that made the previous LEGO games a more robust and varied experience in the long term.
  7. There isn't anything fundamentally wrong with this game. The controls are responsive, the graphics are faithful to the original franchises and it strives to attain the same kind of humor that was an Indiana Jones trademark. But that doesn't mean that the game isn't filled with repetition and uninteresting puzzles. Younger players and fans of the movies will likely enjoy this game, but the appeal stops there.

First as much as i like the Indiana Jones films, the characters aren't quite as memorable. The gameplays good, although sometimes it's difficult to realise what your meant to do at some points. Lego Indiana Jones while fun and packed with content doesn't do much to stand out from the other lego games that I've played before. The humorLego Indiana Jones while fun and packed with content doesn't do much to stand out from the other lego games that I've played before. The humor is most welcome, but everything I did (with the exception of vehicles and whips) is exactly the same. This can be a nice distraction, but I left unfulfilled. The graphics were the same with the exception of more lifelike areas and models, the sound and goofiness of the series has been faithfully translated into Indiana Jones lore. I played with a partner through most of the time, but all we could think was a reskinned lego star wars that manages to pull off a few laughs in the end. Sometimes that's enough to have a good time, but enough for full price. Expand
