  1. The beautifully rendered graphics are amazing and keep you in awe. The voiceovers match their counterparts and make you feel like your watching the TV series. The controls are tight and responses, except for the occasional platforming sections where things can get unnecessarily difficult due to some jumping issues.
  2. I've thoroughly enjoyed playing Naruto: Rise of a Ninja. I find the character to be an excellent balance of oddball wacko, to someone you feel and care for.
  3. In the end, it hints strongly at a sequel, leaving you salivating for more. That is all you can really ask of a game.
  4. The look and feel of Naruto is spot on and coupled with gaming moments such as being able to leap from branch to branch with timed button presses and looking sexy as hell in the process, then moments like in the heat of battle pulling off an amazing jutsu, make this game what it is.

Naruto: Rise of Ninja is easily one of the better games to have been inspired by an anime series, that both fans and non-fans can enjoy together.
  6. Rise of a Ninja is decent for what it is, in that it's a solid first attempt at the Naruto franchise on a modern console.

Even with all these hiccups, there’s still a solid combination of adventuring and fighting to be found here. And the sense of progression--going from a lowly no-skilled friendless ninja to a super awesome friendless ninja--is handled well in terms of what powers you get and when you get them.

I'm having trouble deciding whether I like the music or the graphics more. Both are so well put together and thought out that I get I'm having trouble deciding whether I like the music or the graphics more. Both are so well put together and thought out that I get swept away simply from the audio and visual experience alone. Whether I'm away from my console eating or whatever, listening to these scores play, or if I'm in a fight or I'm wandering around the forest or the city, I'm totally IN the game. The cell shading thing really helps, too. I guess what it is, is how the 2D aspects of the game get 3D attention to lighting to make stuff look 3D when it's not. Basically, it makes everything look REALLY COOL ! :D I recommend this game to everyone! Expand

A nice balance. I'm really enjoying the way the game balances the ability to free roam large areas and discover things as you go while A nice balance. I'm really enjoying the way the game balances the ability to free roam large areas and discover things as you go while also letting you live events from the first bunch of episodes of the series. I'm really happy that I get to explore on my own, but without the story elements it just wouldn't be Naruto, would it. The story itself is what makes Naruto Naruto, so it's very important to me to have this stuff in there. Conversely, if you could ONLY do things from the story than you would know how to do everything and the challenge and surprises of the game would be lost. Balance is key here, the game blends both of these things into a seamless playing experience. I'll be playing this one for a good long time Expand

As someone hooked on the show, it does the story a fair bit of justice as well. Admittedly, I could do without the English voice-overs, so that is my one BIG disappointment.
