  1. I’m going to make this really simple: this is the greatest basketball game I’ve ever played. This is also the greatest one year leap I’ve ever seen in a series.
  2. The most complete NBA basketball game made to date.
  3. The dunks are emphatic, the court chatter is cool, the sound of the ball striking the rim is excellent, and the action is fast-paced, realistic, and just a hell of a lot of fun. And thankfully, the rest of the modes are also quite entertaining. The franchise mode, dubbed Association, is deep and rewarding.
  4. Despite a few frustrations, this is a fantastic basketball game with enough variety to keep each game fresh and enough replay value to keep it in the rotation for many months to come.
  5. If you're after a basketball game for the Santa stocking though, NBA 2K7 is by far the best choice this year.
  6. The game plays substantially better than last year's 360 debut, with a greater sense of rebounds and loose balls being tipped around and more control on defense. [Nov. 2006, p.119]
  7. NBA 2K7 is your typical update. It may not revolutionise anything, but the improved graphics and online mode are enough to win over fans of the series.

It is once again the most solid, realistic, and kick-butt hoops game on the market. Really, the only debate is which version to get. To all who gave 2K7 a score of 90 or above, especially those with 100...

Did you actually put the disc into the machine, pick up the controller, or open your eyes and ears to play it to give near perfect scores?
You have every right to hate EA, but to give perfect scores for NBA 2K7 is absurd. 2K7 may play better than NBA Live but it has its fair share of bugs and design issues:

    1) Audio - speech is just as repetitive as NBA Live. How many times in a game do I have to hear Kenny Smith say it's man to man half court defense? Other announcers also sounded like they're reading off scripts rather than speaking naturally, compare that to NBA Live. Announcer talk about the wrong player for shot attempts...

    2) Players slide and ball popping in certain animations...

    3) Players can play with torn jersey (hence topless) and shorts...

The list goes on and on...
