  1. Pocketbike Racer is in no way the next coming of kart racers, but as a wallet-friendly arcade game it more than serves its role as an amusing piece of gaming software for the casual audience.
  2. This game is a great value and can be a lot of fun-- online or at home. It's hard to mess up this genre as long as the controls are decent-- which they are.
  3. The stop-and-go action, the occasional jumps, and the sheer ridiculousness of what you're taking part in lends every race a manic aspect that elicits more giggles than groans. [Holiday 2006, p.78]

While the online play is a mess, the offline content is definitely worth a run-through, as well as the $3.99 price tag.

Despite the limited number of tracks, the combination of different game modes and difficulty ratings make PocketBike Racer entertaining when it's taken for what it is - an unashamed Mario Kart clone intended to advertise Burger King.
  6. It gets stale fairly quickly, but Pocketbike Racer does very well for what it is.

The online mode in PocketBike Racer is fantastic...when it works. If you can get through random crashes and dropped games, the title has a nice, robust, eight-player online mode.
  8. Pocketbike Racer is a bad kart-racing game that's often broken.

Unfortunately, once you remove the lovable Nintendo characters from the formula and replace them with soulless agents of advertising, you've lost most of the appeal. You're left with a slightly disturbing and shameful mockery of what was once a cherished wholesome media icon; sort of like Michael Jackson.

The game is just so generic and doesn't even manage to use the Burger King license to its utmost to get some humor in there. Unless you have to have all three Burger King games, you can skip out on this one.
  11. Pocketbike Racing is a failed racing game that could have been a good one. If missed potential is worth $4 to you, by all means go for it.
  12. Battle royale effectively spruces up an otherwise dull game, but even this mode isn't an ultimate savior.

Very good game for the price. 4 modes of play, online and offline multiplayer, lots of achievements, and decent fun. Remember, you get what you payed for. This isn't a $60 game, it's $4 and well worth it. Full Review »
  2. Pocketbike Racer is an enjoyable yet generic racer. It does not do anything new to the racing genre, although it offers many types of game modes for a $5 game. I had fun with it and liked the ability to make your own character. Unfortunately, no one is ever on the online mode so it is hard to play with others online. However, playing locally with friends is a blast. The game was definitely made to be played with friends as it is not as fun when I am playing by myself. For $5, I had a great time with this game and if you find it on eBay or Amazon you should get it if you are looking for a fun racing game for a cheap price. Unfortunately, it is completely unoriginal, but for its price that doesn't matter. Full Review »
  3. This is the best of the 3 Burger King games available. The racing is fun and the gameplay is mildly exciting. I like the ability to create your own character as well. Full Review »
