  1. With an interesting story and unique villains and ancient lore, you will be hopelessly captivated from start to finish each and every time you play this game.
  2. Long time fans might snicker at another version of the Prince, after having to adjust to the new 'Prince of Persia' in 2008. However, 'The Forgotten Sands' isn't that bad, it is actually really good, and even better yet, it's not a movie-tie in placeholder, it's a real game!
  3. Lighter, more focused and ultimately more linear than its predecessors, Forgotten Sands never quite feels like a "real" Prince of Persia game, but its popcorn plot and slickly designed, trap-filled environments make it wildly enjoyable anyway.

All in all I don't hate The Forgotten Sands, I just feel like this game was put out to capitalize on the release of the movie. I know that Ubisoft said the game was in the making before they launched the 2008 PoP, but I don't buy it.
  5. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands marks Ubisoft’s intended return to an old gameplay formula, mixing platform elements with hack-n-slash fights and a wise sprinkle of puzzles. The idea is good and suggestive too, but some minor shortcomings and – most of all – a very limited longevity have jeopardized the final outcome.
  6. As a game in the here and now, The Forgotten Sands can feel dated, its hero outshone by glossy new kids on the block like Nathan Drake.
  7. Backwards-looking and unnecessary tie-in/remake which leaves the Prince needing yet another reboot.

I liked it better then the 2008 game because it wasn't so easy and really challenged me. It really went back to the beauty of the first game but in a totally original way. I really enjoyed the voice acting especially the Prince. Razia was beautifully done as well. There were times I didn't think Id be able to make it (lol the water running) but I did and I was so glad it wasn't possible to cheat. The story is superb and beautifully written the ending was bitter sweet :(

Thank you for making this game. Please continue with this series it is special.

A perfect Prince of Persia adventure for anyone who likes video games. The game has perfect combat and a plot that will keep you interested until the end. The game is mostly dependent of you solving puzzles, with challenges being hard, but not too hard. Don't judge it for having puzzles, this is a very exciting, fast paced game with lots of combat. You will love it. Expand

Most of these ideas have to do with the platforming aspect of the game, but there are some cool power ups and upgrades for the combat. Some of these ideas are freezing water so you can climb it, wearing stone armor so that no attacks hurt you, and rewinding time to save yourself from falling to your doom (or to save yourself from an enemies attack in combat.) The platforming is normally amazing, and very smooth. The combat is the best in the series's history. instead of fight 3 or 4 people (like in sands of time) you fight 30 or 40. The combat is faster paced and much more fun. Unfortunately the combat is never a real challenge. This game has excellent graphics except for the character models which have odd looking faces. The sound in the game is great. The main problem with the game is the lack of a story. Expand

I didn't hate the last Prince of Persia installment, I actually enjoyed it, but it didn't nearly live up to the original Sands of Time trilogy. I'm glad to say that Ubisoft returned to the Sands of Time story (I believe this game takes place between the first and second game), and the game is a blast. The graphics are nice, especially during cutscenes. The music is perfect, and the voice acting is top notch. The story isn't extravagant, but it isn't bad by any means. The combat is incredible, especially when you start gaining your different powers. It is fluid and really makes you feel awesome when you are taking down many enemies. The platforming starts pretty easy, but the further you go the platforming and puzzles becoming quite challenging. My only two real complaints with the game are it is short, roughly 6-8 hours. Plus, after you beat the game you unlock a challenge mode, but I finished it in 5 minutes and it doesn't change after the first time. It is the same waves over and over. Although the formula is similar to the Sands of time trilogy and it is quite short, that doesn't mean you should not try out this Prince of Persia. I guarantee you it is just as much fun as the Sands of Time. Expand
