  • Summary: R.U.S.E. is a real-time strategy game that allows players to bluff their enemies to lead their nation to victory, controlling the action using views that range seamlessly from the heart of the battlefield to the full theatre of war. Players are plunged into the action thanks to the exclusive IRISZOOM Engine which offers an intuitive interface that allows for smooth, rapid transitions from a birds-eye view of the entire conflict, down into the heat of the battle and vice versa. In R.U.S.E., players use their brain as the ultimate weapon, fighting a war of perception, where the ability to deceive and mislead the enemy determines success. A first in a strategy game, R.U.S.E. promises to reinvigorate the genre by using deception to give new-found depth to the game play. [Ubisoft] Expand

  2. A very good strategy game, probably the best available on console. A very usable control system and innovative gameplay mecanics make it a worth buy for every lover of this genre.
  3. I'm hoping that with patches (and some more players) that most of those can be corrected, and the basic concept of the ruses is solid and very enjoyable. It really is an RTS that plays like no other, and it deserves a second look on that basis alone.
  4. R.U.S.E tries hard to make itself stand out from the crowd, but ultimately needs a stool to try and peek over the other strategy giants.

  1. LOL i kinda figured that EuroGamer Italy would give this game a bad review considering half the game is them getting nuked. But This would have to be the Best Console RTS out there. Its simplistic, has great controles, and gets rid of the stupid Circular command redicual that all RTS developers think is nessacry for consoles. The story ist half bad either. In short, if your an RTS fan, and you own a console, dont pass this one up. Expand

Okay bad points first; The achievements are ridiculous like "play online with 4 friends in one match" I cant even find a single player on earth. so yeah multiplayer could have been better that includes co-op. That's all for bad points in my opinion.
Good points; Excellent graphics and theme for the general layout and design of things,
the game-play was equally good the menus and units do take a while to get used to however.
Story; very good considering there is only about 15 minutes of cut scenes in the whole game very, very predictable tho duh.

  3. Upon its announcement, I thought the normal "yeah sure another RTS which is going to fail on a console like the rest of 'em"....Oh how wrong I was. This game works very well with its tabletop style battlefield. Navigating, selecting units and scale is all brilliant once you get the hang of it. A brilliant feature is the "zoom" which has really been thought out well. You can watch from a zoomed out pose where units appear as chips stacked upon each other or you can go right into the action and see each man ambushing enemies from a forest. Overall, a good steady game, not sure how long the glamour will last though... Expand
  4. I'm not even going to waste more time explaining why I hate this, it just plain sucks in every possible way... i'd rather play C&C4 for the rest of my life than be subjected to this crap (yes it's THAT BAD). Expand
