  1. In sum, don’t let the pricepoint keep you away from this game. This is one of those rare games you encounter where the gameplay is addicting, refreshing, refined, and innovative - making this highly recommended as a purchase. It really is worth the cost.
  2. Shadowrun is far from perfect and the things that are missing will definitely be missed by many, but it is a very fun take on an old FPS formula and offers addictive gameplay that will make you overlook otherwise major flaws in game design.

Shadowrun is a good online FPS.

Shadowrun has no visible persistent statistics, no way to modify character models, nothing, outside of Achievements, to serve as reward. As gamers, it's rewards we crave, be it of the narrative variety, in-game items, new options or modes, or something entirely different.
  5. Shadowrun doesn’t just trample on the memories of the classic RPGs many people fondly remember. It’s a sham and a rip-off, especially on the Xbox 360. If you absolutely must buy this game, buy it on the PC. Better yet, don’t buy it at all, at least not until it hits the bargain bin.
  6. Shadowrun has stacks of good ideas; it just fails to rest them on a bed of good value and substance. [Aug 2007, p.104]
  7. Rent it for a bit if you're particularly interested, but what could have really been a solid game turns out as almost half of one with an obvious focus on the unorthodox abilities that is just not going to cut it.

I have to help this game out a bit. Its now 2011 I have played this game ever sense. Its fun. Its pretty balanced. The learning curve is a bit high. Yes the game doesnt have a campaign. However after a couple years from now games wont have one so lets just say its ahead of its time. Is it to late to by this game. Their are some games still going last time i played. Thats bc this was a really good MP game. whats better than being able to teleport with a katana? If multilayer is dead you can play against bots. I would like to say TY to this game was one of the best 30$ games i ever bought. I will never get rid of it. Expand

This is a SOLID shooter. I can't play this without being reminded of Counter Strike, and anyone who has played Counter Strike knows that it isn't about the Quantity of the content, but the Quality of it. This game is still a bit light on content, but in the gameplay department it absolutely dominates most shooters. Fun, balanced, and innovative, this is a shooter that deserves a try by anyone who's a fan of the FPS genre. Expand

Probably one of the most underrated games I reckon. A great game to play with many different ways of playing it depending on the characters and equipment used, as they all have their pros and cons. Only bad point of the game was the lack of DLC. Expand

If you do not have xbox live do not buy this game. If you do have xbox live you have to buy this game. Shadowrun has no campaign other then short tutorials and an option to play against bots. However, Shadowrun's online play makes up for the lack of campaign. Online play allows you to choose between 4 different races; troll, elf, human, and dwarf. At the start of each online match you can choose to build your character any way with the money given. More money can be obtained throughout each match by scoring kills or capturing an artifact. The online game play is addictive, and even with the dwindling online the community Shadowrun is still worth the play. Expand

It is a good game and all but without leaderboards it just feels incomplete. I wish Microsoft would just make it free to play. It is the perfect game to do it with. Expand

This feels like a low budget production but it does bring some very interesting twists to the shooter genre. Teleporting, gliders, growing trees that heal you and your allies, resurrections, and katanas. The graphics are dated but the game is surprisingly fun. Expand
