  • Summary: Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is a side-scrolling puzzle platformer about an ornery mutant blob that, after being held captive in a lab that can only be described as something out of a retro sci-fi movie from the early '50's, escapes into the world and sets out on a path to destroy and consume everything! A follow-up to last year's PlayStation Network title Tales from Space: About a Blob, Mutant Blobs Attack will contain a wide range of exciting new features and gameplay modes designed exclusively for the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system. While Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack may be better suited to the handheld space due to its brevity, there's no denying that it's still a good fit for the home console.

In the end it's a great PlayStation Vita game that is a bit too simple and a touch too cute to translate perfectly to the bigger Xbox 360 console. But terrorizing a planet has never been this friendly, this upbeat, or this much fun.

With its creative level designs and simple controls, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack is the type of game where you can sit back and enjoy eating up everything on Earth without investing too much time, cash, or energy to do it.

A short but wonderful platformer that’s well worth playing.

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack was and still is an enjoyable platformer, regardless of the device on which you play it, but it's difficult to recommend this new release to anyone who already has access to the superior Vita rendition.

It’s a shame, really: what could have been a cute, well-crafted platformer for home consoles ended up being a poorly-made port of a (much better) Vita game.
