  • Summary: The Wolf Among Us is a five episode series from the creators of the 2012 Game of the Year: The Walking Dead. Based on Fables (DC Comics/Vertigo), an award-winning comic book series, it is an often violent, mature and hard-boiled thriller where the characters and creatures of myth, lore and legend are real and exist in our world. As Bigby Wolf - THE big bad wolf in human form - you will discover that the brutal, bloody murder of a Fable is just a taste of things to come, in a game series where your every decision can have enormous consequences. Despite being a tad bit disappointed that the overall plot hasn’t been moved all that far forward, I’m still completely invested and more than a bit terrified to see how my tough decisions will affect the story going on.

If ‘Faith’ was the setup to the story then ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ is where the plot gets into the meat and potatoes of what’s to come.
  3. Whilst missing some of the violent intensity of the opening episode, Smoke and Mirrors keeps things interesting with a deepening mystery and plenty of nice character beats.

Although it may not sound like high praise to say that The Wolf Among Us: Smoke & Mirrors is holding steady with the status quo, it's so stylish and enjoyable that I'm quite content to get more of the same.

Technical difficulties aside, Telltale delivers good material, even though it doesn't quite match the previous episode.

That's not to say it's not without its own unique pleasures, but while I'm curious to see what happens next, it so far lacks the edge-of-the-seat impatience that The Walking Dead conjured up at the end of each episode.

The storytelling is as well up to Telltale’s usual standards, but waiting three months for such a short and relatively uneventful episode is unavoidably anticlimactic.

Great game. Dont mine few zeroes given just because season pass proplems first two days (and not relevant anymore). Sexond episode is again great addition to the great series. So far creating best interactive movie I eve played (shame on you Dacid Cage). Despite minimal gameplay and few technical glitches (framedrops) it will suck you in and not let you until you finish it in one sitting. And then leaves you wanting more. Expand

stop b*tchin around. this is not a 0 out of 10 neither a 4. its well written has some nice new characters and character development in it. besides gamelength is no indicator for a good game. i think many short games are better then the longer ones Expand

Story continues to be good with unexpected turns. The writers are clearly trying to lead you down one path but they know it is a dead end so you shouldn't believe everything you see.

The only issue I had with this episode is it is still really bad about loading (even in the middle of certain scenes). It's like they didn't even bother to optimize it.

Can't wait for the next episode.

I found the story to be rather interesting, however it was not as good as Part 1. Also, on my X360 the game is somewhat lagging, it feels like maxing out the consoles resources. Changes between sceens are somewhat jerky. This is especially annoying with fighting scenes. Overall I give it 7 points. Expand

It is a great game but I can't help but I was very disappointed in this episodes length. It was a long wait for what was only an hour of game play. I also wish their had been a branching choice as in the first episode where you must choose which of two objectives to visit first. In general, they only real choices I had to make in this episode where about whether to be violent or not. I know Tell Tale can do great things but this episode just really wasn't up to par.. Expand

I am a little disappointed in this episodes. It was short and way too linear compared to ep1, the choices were just meh, it felt like nothing really happened in the episode... However, I do enjoy the game and I will continue to play the rest of them, but this episode is the least interesting episode I ever played from telltale. Expand

Telltale games is a one trick pony. Basically all they know how to do at this point is write a mediocre story, stretch it out over the course of about five hours, then nickel and dime you for every episode.
Trust me, you're better off just looking up this entire "game" on youtube, rather than paying good money for what will amount to an hour long, poorly written movie.
