  • Summary: [Xbox Live Arcade] War World is a fast-paced third-person shooter that combines a unique blend of heart-pumping action and tactical gameplay, introducing an entirely new genre to XLA. War World throws players directly into combat on the battlefield of a war-torn planet. Control one of 10 different Mechanoids, each with special abilities, and wreak havoc throughout the 100-level single-player campaign. Imagine a planet dedicated just to the art of war. This third-person shooter combines both single-player and multiplayer into one action-packed downloadable game. The game features four multiplayer game modes for up to eight players (Capture the Flag, Bomb Assault, Death Match, and Team Death Match) and a huge single-player campaign War World. [Ubisoft] Expand

  1. Overall War World is a reasonably fun, good looking XBLA title. The biggest problem is mech balance, which hopefully can be fixed in a later patch.
  2. There's very little overall polish to the title, and there's nothing particularly inspired or compelling about it, either.
  3. If you're a fan of online multiplayer slaughter, then it's a safe bet that you've already got plenty of games that do the same thing as War World, and do it a lot better.

Multiplayer is where War World shines. Its very fast and super fun battling your friends online. The graphics of War World are amazing, easily the best looking game on Xbox Live Arcade. It is totally worth the 800 points. I would recommend getting this title. But do not judge it on the demo. The demo is way to short to show off the quality of this game. Expand

This games feels incomplete. Very little instruction (and the instructions - control based - that do exist are deeply misleading), gameplsy is flawed and shallow. It's a well presented game as the ingame graphics are fairly inpressive for xbla. Disapointing. Expand
