  • Summary: [Xbox Live Arcade] Ten years on from Worms Armageddon and the turn-based mayhem and destruction continues! Worms 2: Armageddon is the most fully-featured digital version of the game ever. With four player online and offline multiplayer, voice support, a raft of new weapons (including the return of some iconic weapons from the past), all-new high-definition landscape themes, new play modes, hats, skins, speech-banks, loads of other customization and to top it all off, a highly-involving single player experience with tutorials, deathmatches, races, fort games, and puzzles. It's a package as high on fun as it is destruction. [Team17 Software] Expand

  1. The best Worms ever. [Sept 2009, p.103]
  2. This Worms release is by far one of the best in recent memory and does an excellent job of providing fresh graphics that remain true to the original style.
  3. Worms 2: Armageddon is the complete XBLA answer to the franchise that fans have been waiting for. Worms 2 is also good enough for me to recommend it to new fans of the series; even more so than the free PC demos floating about in cyberspace.
  4. The new weapons, improved campaign and great Xbox LIVE game modes make Worms 2: Armageddon, like its predecessor, a contender for best Xbox LIVE Arcade title.
  5. An emergent party game that's fun for everyone to take part in even if they don't crawl away the victor. [July 2009, p.130]
  6. By improving on its predecessor, Worms 2: Armageddon adeptly captures the thrill and hilarity of this classic series.
  7. Love it, loathe it or ignore it, the formula always works. [Issue#47, p.100]

Worms has come a long way. And this, is one of the best Worms game out there. The graphics are pretty nice and it has decent weapons choices. Because, the more weapons at your disposal, the more fun and addicting it is. Especially with multiplayer mode. Multiplayer is totally, the best part of the game, as you can spend time with a friend blowing each other up. That aside, the campaign is pretty decent and can get quite challenging at parts. In the end, Worms 2: Armageddon is a great game, that you should get if you get the chance. It earns a 9/10 from me. Expand

Worms has always been one of the greatest multiplayer videogames of all time, the lazy mans chess. The problem with Armageddon 2 is that there are too many overly destructive weapons, the game is at it's best when the weapon set is customised to be limited, no ninja ropes, no concrete donkey's or super sheep the best way it is played is with banana bombs and bazookas. Overall I have had many hours fun playing this game with friends. Expand

Great game I have played most of the worms games and i must say this is one of better ones. I mean there is always room for improvement, and so thats what they did, in addition to worms Armageddon there is an expansion battle pack with more weapons, missions , and achievements. Anyone who can learn how to play x box can lean the controls just fine. Expand

Controlling teams of up to four worms in turn based battles across fully destructible environments Worms Armageddon remains amongst the very best offline (or online for that matter!) multiplayer experiences available on any console. Expand

I was severely in love with this game when it first came out, but my opinions have changed since then. First off, speech is WAY too repetitive. You will often here the same lines repeated 10-15 times in a single match. Another problem is you can't create landscapes like you could in Open Warfare 2. Single-player is mildly entertaining but nothing special. It's a fun game, but it will grow stale after a while Expand
