  1. I implore you to give this a go if you’re a wrestling fan, and even if you aren’t – it might well be worth a play. I like the improvements that have been made, and I’ll be playing this long into 2007.
  2. This 2007 edition is the undeniable pinnacle of the genre, dropping a powerful payload of pugilistic power-tripping that you'd have to be nuts to pass up. [Holiday 2006, p.84]
  3. Sure, there are issue like the A.I., clipping, and sketchy hit detection, but for the most part, this game speaks to the legions of WWE fans out there- loud and clear.
  4. In the very least, it's a fun way to get bragging rights over your friends without actually inflicting pain, and hey, it could be worse - we could be playing "Raw 3."

This is the best smackdown! vs. raw game ever. I haven't actually got the chance to buy it but i have played it and it is intense!
  2. While it's a shame that some characters are teased but not actually in the game the roster is great and the in ring action is fantastic. The create a character is fun and the story mode is different for each show. The customization of the locker room is a waste of cash you could spend on unlocking characters. Expand

The roster update is nice, and the graphics pretty solid. But there are still some serious gameplay issues lingering around from last time, and some new ones added. First it is entirely to easy to climb out of a steel cage, those matches should be at least 15-20 minute battles. Basically the first guy to nail his finisher wins. 2nd, why the hell did they make it so damn hard to recvoer from a move this year? Playing with my kid, I got a little tired of just getting owned after falling to the mat from a punch. Also I would have liked to have seen some NEW match modes, and why aren't the ECW guys in there? Its a 360 game, we should have complete rosters. It is nice to see some new legends available, and season mode is a lot better than last year. This is a must for WWE fans, but the casual fan might lose interest. Expand
