Gearbox did a fine job here and the new goodies and content are a huge plus. I do wish the other content from the Megaton Edition were here, but this is still a great addition to your digital library.
Awesome! Just plain awesome.
This is one of the best first person shooters ever made, a 10 can not possibly convey the awesomenes that is Duke Nukem 3d.
So buy the game, grab a shotgun (and some steroids) and blast some pigcops into a messy porkchop pulp!
Gearbox has done a great job with the overall package and deserves a new look for fans. While it may not be the most complete version, that all-new chapter is good enough in itself to get fans interested again. Hopefully, at some stage, we can enjoy new Duke game that does the original King justice, baby.
The best way to play the iconic first-person shooter. The new levels are some of the best in the entire game, and show that Nerve Software understands what makes Duke Nukem great.
As a tribute to the original is definitely good, but it might not match the standards of 2016. Depending on what you're looking for it's a good or a not-so-good option.
While not without some issues, Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour is absolutely a worthwhile release of an absolute classic. It is admittedly better played on a keyboard as designed, but the original title is given a clean representation with this version.
If your a fan of old school fps games then duke nukem 3d world tour is the game for you. Coop multiplayer and an extra episode for $20 is a steal if you did not purchase the megaton edition on the ps3. Shame its only a gamestop exclusive.
A trip down memory lane.
Its exactly how I remembered it and I enjoyed all the same.
My main gripe is that its missing a bunch of add-ons due to licensing issues, which is a massive shame.
A couple of days to an easy and enjoyable platinum.
I bought this game about a year or so after launch. It was on sale for around 10 bucks, so I thought "why not?" When the game works, it works good. Fun to play and explore levels, just good old fashioned FPS gameplay. Unfortunately, every time I played the game there would be an error with the software that occurred every time I played it. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game to fix it, but nothing fixed it. It sullied my thoughts about the game and I would warn anyone who considers buying it now to be aware of the this issue. I don't know if they make physical copies of the game or if this issue occurs on it as well, but I did hear that the Xbox One and PC versions of the game worked relatively fine, so if you're really looking to play this game, please play either one of those versions. There's a good game here, but I literally cannot play it.
Really sad about this product. The online Multiplayer is just not working. For lots of friends, other players an myself included it's not possible to Play Coop/DukeMatch for more than a Minute or even start a Game. You get kicked out of any Game or Enemies an other Players just lose any connection to Duke Nukem Online service.
Another big problem is that you immediately Run, when you go (slow) forward and look around. Can't unterstand that issue. Do the Producers have even play that Game before selling it ???
I was hoping I could have all the campaigns, we don't have another opportunity to play them and it would be great if this were ported.
Multiplayer should be more objective, it's not easy to find someone to play with.
I was sad about some things censored.
