  • Summary: Super Time Force is a frantic, hyper-action videogame filled with total mayhem, total madness and total non-stop shooty-shooty-bam-bam destruction. And yet, it also has super sweet, soothing, perhaps even sublime, moments of sloooow motion. Every level in Super Time Force contains 3 mysterious inter-dimensional objects called Shards, which can be used to control the flow of time, slowing it down like velvety smooth molasses, allowing players to unleash a truly heroic level of dodging, weaving, sniping and precision acrobatics. This quirky, spastic shooter has rightfully earned its seat at the Indie Game Round Table.

The most fun you can have with yourself.
  3. The game is good enough that I expect to see people throwing themselves against the crucible of a perfect STF run for years to come.

A retro-style shooter that's both funny and fun, Super Time Force's temporal twists and turns are what make it well worth playing. It's unlikely you'll have played anything with the same kind of unfettered energy either. It's time you gave it a go.

Super Time Force is a game that you should definitely add to your collection, especially if you bought an Xbox One at launch and you are now hungry of good games to play.

This game takes known ideas and merge them into innovative gameplay. It's addictive and fun, even though it feels sometimes chaotic, but it definitely deserves a try.

Capybara has designed a devastatingly complex game that manages to feel wholly intuitive and approachable in practice; I just wish it explored more of its potential. If ever a game begged for a sequel to fully realize a great concept, Super T.I.M.E. Force is it.

I was skeptical at first being a retro shooter in all. To my surprise this game is one of the best games to come out. I couldn't get enough because it's so different. It's like metal slug meets Zelda majoras mask. It's not just shooting through the game but you have to think of the best scenario to finish. The level in the allowed time traveling through time lol. Epic not to mention the amount of unlockable characters. After you finish the game guarantee you will go back to beat it 100% Expand

This game is quite honestly the most fun I've had in ages. The game is hilarious, and puts a casual and nonchalant spin on the flow of time, and executes the concept perfectly. It is so refreshing that Capy Games have delivered us a unique side-scrolling run-and-gun game, which truly requires you to think through what you are doing. Singleplayer co-op (sounds crazy right?) turns this game into a complex tactical puzzle game as well!
As an example, imagine running through a level, dying (a lot), deciding where to position yourself in relation to your last life, then trying to save the previous iteration of yourself, creating a paradox where your last character lives, and then harvest him to level you up. Or sprinting though a level, rewinding, dying, rewinding, dying, until you have a whole army of yourself taking down wacky boss fights.
The pixel art looks fabulous, and is one of the main reasons the game feels so natural, along with the fast-but-pleasant music. This game is not serious, but it's an absolute laugh, and It is definitely worth the money!

    10/10 replayability.

Super T.I.M.E Force combines excellent 2D action and platforming but with a twist. You can go back in time and fight alongside your past playthrough. This turns out to be a well implemented gameplay mechanic that adds a smart new twist the formula and makes the game into a more thoughtful and strategic game. The core gameplay is also very fun. I love this game. More so, I love what this game manages to prove to independent developers who seem to think making a game look like it belongs on an NES and making it incredibly hard isn't the way most people want their childhood consoles memorialized. Looking at you 1001 Spikes. Super Time Force manages to take an 8-bit graphic stance on chaos itself, creating tense moments and hilariously pointless dialogue and delivering it in a polished title that pays homage to the classics while creating a unique identity at the same time. I have to agree with critics like IGN and GI, the one thing missing here is another level of control, sometimes things seem unmanageable when the bullets start flying, but it never stopped me from completing or enjoying this game. The missing multi-player is disappointing, but understandable considering all the mechanics in play. Don't let this temporary exclusive pass you by, for the 15$ price I got plenty of laughs and nostalgic memories, more than worth my money. Expand

While the lack of local multi-player seems agonizingly missing here. Super time force is some of the greatest singeplayer shoot-em up fun I've had in awhile. The boss battles are creative, the humour (if a bit childish) is the perfect style for the game. The time travel mechanic is great but sometimes I found myself dying just a little too soon. things get super crazy near the end of levels (bullets everywhere) and to see it all in real time when you beat the level is a real treat. For its price, Super Time Force is a great arcade shooter to play alone! Expand

Was fun to start off and I really liked the "plot" considering it was intended to be silly! But as it went on it became a very enfuriating game (Borderline Mega Man) and I just got fed up with it. It's ok if you enjoy a quick laugh or aren't quick to a temper. (Think of Flappy Bird lol) 5/10 Expand
