Watch Dogs could've easily been Grand Theft Auto with tech equipment. But Ubisoft Montreal has managed to flesh out this experience as something more, making fantastic use of the technology and applying it just right to deliver a remarkably deep experience.

With a deep storyline, plenty of side content, and a gorgeous rendering of Chicago to explore, Watch Dogs brings a lot to the table and truly unlocks next-generation graphics in a whole new way. Watch Dogs is a beautiful, mesmerizing title.

Watch Dogs sports an extremely solid gameplay with a good stealth flavor and tons of things to do. It stumbles however in the story area, with an uninteresting plot and quite dull characters, Aiden included. Overall, however, it's a good package, even if it isn't the masterwork we were expecting, and it will undoubtedly be worthy of your time.

Despite the fact that Watch Dogs hasn't made any meaningful impact on the genre, I found myself having a ton of fun with it. Between the deep levels of customization and the sheer breadth of content, there's no shortage of things to do. If Ubisoft can take the game's core fun factor and marry it with an actual "next-gen" experience the next time around, they'll have something truly special.

If you were expecting Watch Dogs to take the genre in new directions then you’re going to be sorely disappointed. With that being said, Watch Dogs is still an engaging and often times surprising action game.

It is not quite the revolutionary title people were hoping for, but Watch Dogs is still an excellent game in its own right.

Even though I feel its story is often weak and its action isn't that different from other games in the genre, I still enjoyed my time with Watch Dogs. It turns out that the old stuff still works, and the strong-but-standard mission design kept me entertained, most of the time. It's rough around the edges, though, so if you don't settle for anything less than the best, you'll probably be disappointed.

I have been waiting for another good open world game for a while and this has ended that. The main missions are fun and different, the side missions are not repetitive and they are awesome! The investigations are interesting and really fun to complete. The online tasks are exciting and funny to do when your target runs around wildly trying to find you. The hacking is great and the chases are great to see how you can stop your hunters. The stealth is surprisingly one of my favourite parts, I found it fun distracting my enemies then beating them with the batton. The Online free roam is amazing, no missions or tasks to do but with my 3 friends just messing around is so much fun and my favourite part. 10/10 Expand

A truly amazing game and no your not a person that watches dogs your a brilliant hacker who has a full city to your advantage voice acting is some of the best Ive seen and the story is believable but your main character feels empty besides that great action and a sandbox full of things to do Expand

Great game to "pick up and play" a good size story to progress through and more than enough side missions and objectives to complete. The actual storyline is slow and slightly repetitive with the side missions. Great start to a new franchise and looking forward more watchdog games in the future. Even though it didn't live up to the "hype" it received from its appearance at e3 in 2013. Expand

Should you buy this game: YES
    Why?
If you are an owner of a next gen console and you do not have access to other open world games, I believe
that this game is really worth getting. This game is very disappointing to people who were super hyped for the game but I think that this game is a better buy than games such as BF4, Call of Duty Ghosts, and now even GTA V (Until Next Gen comes out cuz idk what that'll be like). The game does one thing right, you can hack and you can hack your friends and strangers. The multiplayer aspect can be very annoying but very cool however the real game comes from all the side missions. The campaign is somewhat dull but I strongly believe the side quests and the city itself offer you the most fun in Watch Dogs at least in my opinion. I am still disappointed in Watch Dogs however I believe that Ubisoft can redeem themselves with a sequel to the game or through The Division. Expand

This is a bad game. I bought it and returned it for Wolfenstein (which is class). The graphics are terrible, the controls are awkward, the driving is useless. Do not buy!!!! No fun to play. GTAV does it all so much better. In fact I even enjoyed sleeping dogs more than this. Expand

Once you have graduated from primary/elementary school you will have the required literary skills to quickly sound this game out as the most poorly written thing in the history of anything. You would have to be extreamly forgiving to suggest that this game in any way satisfies any of the basic requirements to make even a half decent story. It constantly contradicts itself and its awful dydactisism make Aiden Pearce the most reprehensible moral dullard ever conceived by man. Some games, in their playability or design, make up for poor writing but this game does not - its plainly terrible. Expand
