If you love the extreme sports genre, this game is an absolute must. It's a ton of fun and will suck away so many hours all your friends will think you've died.
  2. Its innovations with regard to timed-run and in-level goal designs are sure to become trends used in the next generation of alternative sports games.

I guarantee the expansive and intricate levels will blow you away. [Sept 2002, p.89]
  4. Exactly what extreme inline skate fans have been looking for and the game will not disappoint in any way. Terrific graphics, massive environments and an exclusive extra level make this a Must-Have.

It's as fun and exhilarating as a classic three-chord punk tune at a folk rock festival.

For the first rollerblading game on the Xbox, Aggressive Inline sets one hell of a standard.

Visually, Aggressive Inline is up there with the best of them. The levels are loaded with small details, all of which can be interacted with in some way. [Oct 2002, p.104]

Dishes out some truly inventive (if not a tad insane) leve design, tight gameplay, and great visuals, to the extent that anyone even remotely interested in the sport will likely embrace this game's spin on the whole extreme sports trend. [Oct 2002, p.85]

The incredible number of tricks to execute, along with the ten huge levels, the level editor, all the hidden characters and sections to unlock, and some highly entertaining multiplayer modes mean you'll easily get your money's worth out of the game before it becomes even remotely boring.
  10. It has tons of replayability and lots of fun, even if it might take a while to grasp the control and get used to the speed issue.
  11. It’s got more longevity than a lot of games out there today and offers a style of gameplay that we’ve loved ever since the original Tony Hawk’s game. Acclaim, we salute you.
  12. Next to Hawk, it's the best extreme sports title on the Xbox.
  13. While there's plenty of new features to separate this game from the other trick games on the market, they're implemented poorly. In the end, it's different, but not much better than any of the other "Pro X" games out there.

The most impressive element of the game is its level design: The enormous locales allow for hours of exploration and trickery. [Fall 2002, p.119]
  15. While I’m on the subject, why haven’t video games gotten any better at portraying women fairly? The rest of our culture has seemingly improved in this regard, but the gaming subculture seems to be getting worse and worse.
  16. One of the freshest things to enter the extreme sports genre since the first Tony Hawk.
  17. Aggressive Inline is one of the few really good additions to the extreme sports genre. It’s challenging, fun, and different.
  18. Aggressive Inline is stunning! There's no other way to say it.
  19. The control for the most part is right on the money, with plenty of tricks that you can perform and control from start to finish.

I always used to wonder how games like Tony Hawk could get such outstanding reviews. It seemed like such a niche genre. After buying AI, I I always used to wonder how games like Tony Hawk could get such outstanding reviews. It seemed like such a niche genre. After buying AI, I realize I was right to question such games. AI is fun, but extreme sports just aren't my thing. Technically it's very well done. Full Review »

Aggressive Inline is definitely worth the money. It's got a great RPG-like stat system, massive changeable levels, and is basically Aggressive Inline is definitely worth the money. It's got a great RPG-like stat system, massive changeable levels, and is basically everything you'd want in a Xtreme Sports game. The only low point is the lack of create a skater, but otherwise this game is addictive and very very fun. Great job by Acclaim and Z-Axis! Full Review »
