  1. The game is long enough for RPG buffs to get into, and the game provides enough action for those that aren’t really interested in RPGS.
  2. One of those Xbox games that couldn't be done on another console without comprimising quality.
  3. The whole thing meshes well, is addictive in its playability, and looks absolutely beautiful (in a wonderfully detailed 3D anime way) in the process. [Feb 2003, p.68]
  4. The varied missions -- 40 or so of them -- are a visceral blast, and even the simple waste-them-all-and-send-God-the-cleaning-bill slaughter sessions are wonderfully cathartic. [Feb 2003, p.152]

The camera is pretty bad, but you adjust and get used to it. The enemies are a bit repetitive, but the situations you're tossed into aren't. The graphics and production values are top notch. The main character is a bit of a girly man, but not as bad as Tidus or Raiden. Expand

Repetitve gameplay, a bad camera, and mediocre graphics combine and make for an unexciting game. Although there are definately worse games out there.
