  1. It may not be the most technically accomplished game to have graced our screens, but the plain and simple fact is that it's so much fun to play, it's almost indescribable.
  2. It's not the longest game, and it's not the most complex game, but it succeeds at almost everything it sets out to do-which puts it head and shoulders above most other games out there, Star Wars-related or not.

If you're a Star Wars fan, even an old school purist like me, you will have a blast playing this game, especially if you have kids to help you out.
  4. Most interestingly, the game will appeal to both kids and adults, as its simple pick-up-and-play action is accessible to almost anyone of any age.
  5. This is probably one of the better kids' games to hit the market in a while, and that it's clever and charming enough to appeal to adults is a testament to that fact.
  6. But with more than 30 playable characters from the movies and loads of goodies to unlock, Lego Star Wars is more than just kids' fodder. It's a great Star Wars game.
  7. The core gameplay is somewhat lacking. 'But it's for kids,' we hear you cry. Maybe so, but even kids - or those who are just young at heart - will no doubt want a challenge that lasts longer than it would take to watch the original trilogy. [May 2005, p.109]

It's just plain fun to switch characters on the fly to figure out a puzzle. My only complaint is the fixed camera view. Take 5 minutes and see if you get hooked...if you don't, you'll go through life never knowing what you missed. (hope there's a "sequel" to the "prequel") Expand

This is first and foremost a kids games, but adults who buy it and play it will find the fun kind of gameplay and charming humour that is missed by most triple A titles these days. The co-op mode also means this is a game you can play with your kids and enjoy at least as much as they do. Like star wars? Like Lego? Buy it! Expand

I expected LEGO Star Wars to be fun and charming, and it is. It's also unnecessarily easy and repetitive. There was no moment where I I expected LEGO Star Wars to be fun and charming, and it is. It's also unnecessarily easy and repetitive. There was no moment where I didn't feel like I could mash buttons and win (in only four hours). It could be slightly fun for a child that loves both Lego and Star Wars and is new to videogames, but it isn't enough of a challenge for anyone else. Expand
