  1. NBA Live 07 looks and sounds great. The pace on the court is just right, but the AI players are not quite up to their tasks at all times. Good fun, nonetheless. [Dec 2006, p.82]
  2. While NBA Live 07 might not be starting-lineup material, it sits comfortably in the sixth-man spot, indulging its longtime fans of the franchise with another reliable rendition to get their "basketball jones" on.
  3. All these mode-switching features and momentum bars don't make the game any more fun, or more like playing the real thing. It just gives you more to think about. [Nov 2006, p.71]
  4. If you're a casual player looking to throw down like your favorite superstars, or you really loved last year's game, NBA Live is still the pick of the litter. More refined, strategy-minded tastes are again urged to go with the 2K series.
  5. With developers shifting their focus on next-gen consoles, we're left with a rehash of last season's efforts, albeit with minor changes here and there.
  6. The game speed is a disappointment. Hit turbo and you don't turbo anything. The controls are fine, but don't feel as fluid as they could – especially when you look at the reactive control scheme of other team games like EA's NHL franchise.
  7. 49
The game is full of bugs and glitches that make it almost impossible to play, and the few additions with the X-Factor and "redefined" Freestyle Superstar controls don't make enough impact on the game to make it playable or enjoyable.
