I must say that while I was initially disappointed with this title, the more time I spent with it, the more I grew to love it. NHL2K7 is the best iteration of the series. They have touched up the AI, skating feels much more realistic now than it used to (no more table-hockey effect!) and for the first time since 2K5, you can really feel the momentum switch after a big goal or fight. The only thing that bummed me out is they took out some of the control features, like one-touch passing, but overall I am very happy with the game. The best part is that the game is fun again, which is a solid departure from the predictability of 2K6. Bravo! Expand

  1. The lack of changes will disappoint some, but for 20 bucks the minor tweaks and new roster nicely enhance what was already a great game.

Online, 2K Sports continues to lead the pack with online leagues and seasons. NHL 2K7 on higher difficulties is a solid simulation and, with all the modes, teams and options, is the most complete hockey title on the Xbox.
  3. Both games are great, but NHL 2K7 wins our vote because of adaptable gameplay that can be set up how you want it. [Nov 2006, p.70]
