  1. A much more enjoyable, involving game than its predecessor. [Feb 2003, p.80]
  2. 70
With more bump mapping and shading combined with beautiful particle and lighting effects, Nightcaster II's visuals are a few steps ahead of the prequel's, but overall the graphics look plain and at times muddy.
  3. An unfinished game. If level designs were better, enemy AI was better, melee attacks actually did something, and a whole host of other things were worked out, the game wouldn't be so bad.

Let it be known that I hated the first Nightcaster. But even though this sequel is MUCH better than the first one, it still has its flaws.

Much more action-packed than the first, however, more undeveloped. This game could have been the best Gauntlet-like game available had more time been put into it. I think overall, it took 4-5 hours to beat. Expand
