  • Summary: Based on the movie, Reign of Fire lets you play as either a human or a dragon in an epic battle. As a human, you'll take the role of a resistance fighter who's trying to defend the last remaining humans from attack. You must make your way to the site of the sole male dragon using a variety of well-equipped vehicles and high-tech weaponry. As a dragon, you'll take the role of an infant, led by instinct to attack foes, and you'll attempt to eradicate the human race. With your natural fire-breathing and flying abilities, you can destroy everything on the ground or in the skies. Expand

  1. Sadly the lack of multiplayer support and any kind of depth beyond the two playable races really hamper the game's lastability.
  2. The lack of any real longevity hurts the overall appeal for most people, but thankfully this blows the movie out of the water, but that really isn’t saying much. Just to play as the dragon though, go give this game a rent!
  3. What hurts the game the most is the vehicle control setup. In a game where you are firing at enemies from all directions you need independent steering and weapons controls. Not so here. [Feb 2003, p.81]
  4. This excitement always quickly fades, leaving you with a game with unresponsive controls and lackluster action.

The game is underatted like the movie. The fight between the dragons and the humans is choatic. It feels like a real war with big explosions the ground shanking when dragons are brought down, stinger missile like weapons shot out of the vehichle looke realistic. At times the fighting made me confused and start looking around in a clueless way. This is what I liked because it shows what real armed forces face in war. The graphics of explosions, water, amount of humans and dragons looks good but in other parts the textures are dark. Overall its a good game. Expand
