  1. The surprising thing about Scaler is the game is just plain fun to play. The gameplay is robust with reasonably challenging puzzles to solve, the control system is enjoyable as Scaler is easy to move and smooth, and the story is humorous with a solid plot.
  2. Most experienced gamers will find this game a little on the short side, but most kids, the actual target audience, will probably think it's just right.
  3. It isn't without its faults, in particular the controls, hokey dialogue and cheap voice acting, but if you can see past these minor imperfections, you'll discover that Scaler is a first-rate platformer that gives the offerings of some big-name characters like Crash Bandicoot a real run for their money.
  4. Wow, generic platform games have reached a new pinnacle of dull and cliche. [Feb 2005, p.113]
