  1. The GC version gets a better graphics boost than the Xbox counterpart, but both versions pack the same great gameplay.
  2. Everything about The Sims just reeks of quality and charm; from the way that every Sim action is beautifully animated to the way they talk to each other, and you, in voices that you can almost make out. But can’t.

The Xbox version of The Sims trades the PC version’s precise control for much improved presentation and more directed gameplay.
  4. Through polygonal graphics, tons of new items, and hilarious level-based play, I can honestly say that the Sims has never looked or played better. [Apr 2003, p.93]
  5. While The Sims isn’t a totally radical departure from its PC origins, the Xbox version scores just a tad higher than on the other console version I’ve played, the GameCube, because of its slightly better graphics, more comfortable controller, and easier game save system on the built-in Xbox hard drive.

Why do so many dorks like this game? I would rather watch my wallpaper peel in my APT then play this game. I bought this game because a friend recommended it and now he is no longer my friend! Full Review »
