  • Summary: TransWorld Surf lets you pull off all the massive airs and blazing tailslides of professional surfers, including Taj Burrow, Andy Irons, and Shane Dorian. This is your chance to drop into more than 20 of the world's most challenging breaks in locations such as Todos Santos, Hossegor, and Tavarua. Conquer the waves with a friend, hitch a ride with the Reef Girls, watch out for the hungry sharks, and remember to save your best moves for photographers who just may put you on the in-game cover of TransWorld Surf. 1. They have done an amazing job of re-creating the intense thrill of being out in the ocean in large surf. I know from experience. The very first time I started a session with the game I got butterflies in my stomach.
  2. It's really the only truly fun surfing game I have experienced in the last 10 years!
  3. Quite possibly the most inventive, accessible, and incredibly fun surfer ever. [Dec 2001]
  4. From the music to the finer details, TransWorld Surf allows you to really immerse yourself in the environment. The music soundtrack is very well done and probably one of the best I have seen in any game.
  5. If you’re a true surfer, I would think that this game would be a must have. People who enjoy other “board” games will also rate this game very high.
  6. TransWorld Surf isn't all bad, but there are more than a few problems that prevent it from being a really good game.
  7. Go play "Calfornia Games" on your Lynx. [Jan 2002, p.90]

This game is great for what it is. Its not tony hawk and its not a skateboarding game so dont expect it to play like one. Its a surfing game, and a bloody brilliant one at that. Collapse

Admitedly it is a tough assignment making a surfing game fun, but here I don't think they succeeded.
