Top Cast
There’s nothing especially original about “Assimilate.” But director John Murlowski and a talented young cast — including Joel Courtney, Calum Worthy and Andi Matichak as the plucky high schoolers trying to save their town — do at least keep the action lively and unpretentious.
Horror movies succeed or fail in a lot of ways, but the real Achilles heel of too many of them is in front of the camera. The actors don’t commit, don’t get across terror, panic, paranoia or rage. That’s an issue here.

It is a classic horror sci-fi throwback that leaves much to the imagination. You can take the entire family for a great scare and suspense. If you liked the Invasion of the Body Snatchers you will like this film. It can happen anywhere!

Well it actually wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be. It turned out to be pretty good.

Similar in plot to Body Snatchers, The Faculty and a little bit of The Crazies. However, its performances, cinematography and direction make it likable.
