    Burning Man takes its time getting us to feel for a troubled character but gets the hook in solidly once it decides to.

    The high-sheen Australian drama Burning Man leans heavily on a scrambled chronology, and likewise feels tonally mixed up, but it certainly does keep you guessing.

    A brilliantly well made and affecting film experience. Challenging in many ways; to follow the film's fractured narrative is jarring initially but ultimately feels like a natural extension of the story. Performances are exceptional especially from Matthew Goode and Essie Davis right down to the young actor who plays Goode's son. Technically it's striking in so many ways, the editing done very cleverly, and photography breathtaking. I desperately love this film, it's heartbreaking, it's shocking and raw and sexual, but it is just breathtakingly beautiful.… Expand
