This movie has some funny moments and plenty of good deaths but the writing really wasn't all that funny and there were a couple of characters that you wanted dead that didn't die. The film is certainly entertaining so I'd recommend watching it if there really is nothing else to watch but it's no gem.

Both funny and scary, this was one of the first "horror" movies i've watched! I think the story is dumb... at the end the killed forgot why he was killing (No spoiler here)....May be that's why this movie is comedy as well... The characters are hilarious! So if you're wondering to watch it or not, let me say this if you're expecting some horror movie with deep story then Don't watch it if you're looking for a fun and exciting movie then this is your choice. I give it a 7/10, because it's one of my childhood classics and i believe it's a great movie for a party with friends. Otherwise i would give it a 6/10... Expand

With "Super Troopers" and Club Dread, Broken Lizard has cranked out two genuinely funny movies in a row.

The group has a distinctive deadpan style; after you get on their wavelength, it's impossible to quit chuckling.
  3. A few gags are brilliantly staged, but most have a smug, collegiate take-it-or-leave-it quality that makes full-on belly laughter feel optional.
