    This movie is real. It has flaws, but it has real character and while it is a little cooky and a little predictable, I think it is one of the best movies I have seen about first love. Julia and Freddie are outstanding together.

    It doesn't seem to have even a slightest charm on these official critics but the story and characters are both absolutely appealing and commendable. Prinze and Stiles really do shine!

    I saw a lot of teen movies in high school, and this was on the very top of the heap of craptasticness. The only thing from keeping me leaving such a boring/unoriginal/flat movie was the fact I paid $6 bucks. If I could PLEASE get those 2 hours of my life back, I'd feel like I lived just a little bit more. Whatever happened to great romantic comedys driven by excellent dialogue, a la "When Harry Met Sally?"… Expand

    Pretty cute love story. Nothing wrong with watching a slightly dull movie at times. The love scenes are really sweet!

    Stinko movies often unwittingly critique themselves -- and the brain-dead romantic comedy Down to You (which Miramax understandably didn't screen in advance for critics) is no exception.
