  • Starring:
  • Summary: Ryan, Wade, and Emmit attend their first day at high school and they're pumped...until they meet up with Filkins, a school bully who comes off like a little Hannibal Lecter. Before they become completely engulfed in Filkins' reign of terror, they seek out some protection by placing an ad in Soldier of Fortune magazine. Their best response (and the cheapest) comes from Drillbit Taylor, a down-on-his luck soldier of fortune who lives a homeless--he likes to say "home-free"--existence on the beach. He enrolls them in some physical and mental training. (Paramount Pictures) Expand

  1. Even if this movie doesn't quite hit the highs of its predecessor, it's nice to know that there are still filmmakers ready to respect the eternal struggles of freaks and geeks.
  2. This latest whiffle ball from Team Apatow is a mildly amusing comedy.

Wilson's funny. Mann's funny. But paired together here, nothing works.

The film emits a subtle yet distinct John Hughes vibe.

It just scrapes two stars on the strength of Wilson’s best efforts. But for God’s sake, someone give this man a sparring partner.

There was a movie called “My Bodyguard” about the new kid in high school who hires the sullen loner to protect him from a bully. That was good. Drillbit Taylor is shit but, hey, I’m in Judd Apatow’s Hollywood.

A hilarious movie that deals with the internal struggles of the high school losers (like myself). Owen Wilson is hilarious and so are the kids. a lot of the films funniest moments happen when the four of them are on the screen together. If your looking for a hilarious movie look no further. You will laugh. Expand

Drillbit Taylor is funny and it's good acted. Owen Wilson's character is pretty funny because he's really awkward and he can be really funny. For the kids who plays in the movies are pretty good actors Expand

I simply don't understand the bad reviews this movie has revieved. In my opinion, it is mostly laughs in the film. The combination of a fat kid, a geeky, skinny kid and a wimpy midget really made this movie destined for hilarity, which it achieved to some extent. The three make it easy for bullies to pick on them, enter Owen Wilson. Wilson plays his part really well and juggles trying to keep his identity hidden and protecting the kids to perfection. A good movie, but could have been destined to something a whole lot funnier. Expand

Una muy buena pelicula de comedia de Owen Wilson, poniendose en el papel de un vago, esta pelicula es muy divertida y muy graciosa; no es la mejor pelicula de owen wilson, pero para mi, esta pelicula vale la pena verla. Expand

If you're like me, diluted Apatow is still better than no Apatow at all.

This is full of cheesy dialogue, bad performances (even from the usually funny Owen Wilson) and comes together for an overall unoriginal and weak comedy Expand
