MichaelC.Mar 6, 20013Danny DeVito and Neve Campbell sleepwalk, and I didn't care for any of the characters. It is never funny, and always misses its goal. Drowning Mona is a bit like The Whole Nine Yards, but worse. Not recommended. At all.

PatC.Jan 14, 20043Like a lot of DeVito projects, has potential to be a classic. This one's chief comic device is to keep shooting itself in the foot.

LovísaH.Jul 1, 200210I Loved this movie. I thougth the acting was outstanding and you really felt for that caracters. I thought Casey Affleck did the best job as Bobby Calzone although people migth say that he mumbled through the whole movie. You really felt for Bobby and I was roothing for Bobby the whole movie. Casey Affleck is a great actor and we are definetly gonna see more of him in the future!!!

EuniceS.Jul 28, 20040This is the most time-wasting movie I've seen. It should have been good, given the great cast. But it wasn't funny or even slightly amusing. Shame on the persons who actually produced this mess.

CarlaG.Nov 15, 20036Surprisingly better than expected. Good cast (albeit with bad hair), but the critics were wrong, this movie is funny enough to watch. It would have been stronger in the hands of the Coen Bros., but still worth a look-see.

LyndseyM.Mar 27, 200310I love this movie...it seems sometimes that the lower the critic ratings and reviews, the better the movie. Same goes for how much publicity the movie gets before it is even released...the harder they puch the movie, the worse it is.

BerthaFox-D.Sep 15, 20059This is a hillarious movie. It took a couple of viewings before I "got" it, but it's a great film. It reminds me of the Bonnie Bakely trial. The woman was so despised that anyone who came in contact with her could have been culpable! Jamie Lee Curtis steals the show as a greasy spoon waitress who is having an affair with Mona's husband AND son! Worth seeing for sure!

50Has a made-for-TV smallness (it will probably be a big hit on cable), and it never quite vanquishes the nagging suspicion that you could be spending your time better elsewhere.
-
20There's a definite limit to the number of moron jokes we can absorb in 100 minutes, and their movie exceeds it.

75Executed on a pretty broad level, but if characterization is slighted, the ensemble is so rich, with such depth, that every few minutes another juicy turn keeps coming our way to divert us.
