It has been a long time since I've seen a movie that's touched me the way this movie has, a long, long, long time. To Sean Connery, thank you.

Its damn good.

This movie was really dumb. Its directing and musical store gave the impression of a good film, but it was really garbage. It left many loose ends, was quite cliche, and was basically a waste of time. Stuuuuupid, with a capital Stu.

I was so moved by this film that I immediately wanted it on video so I might share it with my college-bond American lit class. I thought I was imagining some of the parallels to J.D. Salinger. Then I realized that from what I've read, Salinger might not be as accommodating as Forrester!! Now it IS available on videotape. Whoopee!!

It is a really good movie. It may have strong language that isn't appropriate for younger kids. I have heard worse on my bus, though.

The anonymous who gave it a 2 didnt realize that it was based on a true story. a very shallow opinion and a very uneducated person as a whole. an excellent film on morals and understanding life as a whole.

Very pleseant light weight movie. Solid acting butthe plot lacked real grit.

This movie makes you think about what has happened in a person's life who has secluded themselves from everything. Funny coments in the whole movie. Go see it.

Makes school feel exciting and interesting, which I found to be disturbing from time to time. Very analogous with Catcher in the Rye. Good analogies. Clever, if not to exciting.

I've seen a zillion movies. This is one of my all time favorites. If 2 of your biggest interests are literature and education, and you're a nice person, you should love this movie. An extremely well-done production.

While the moral dilemma seems a bit contrived, that plot weakness is overshadowed by outstanding performances by Connery and Brown. A definite "feel good" movie.

This film is as pleasant as one of those fine peanut butter and banana sandwiches I make 5 times a day.

Good movie, good story, great actors. Need anything more?

Too touchy-feely for my tastes. It is a heartwarmer and has a great performance by Connery and the kid, but it seems like we've seen this film many times before.
