ChrisB.Apr 20, 20075The critic who said it was "never quite hilarious, but always amusing" is just about right, although I found it more along the lines of a steady stream of boredom with an occasional laugh. I definitely wouldn't recommend this to any of my friends, but if you are a big Chevy Chase fan you might enjoy it, although it's no where near as good as any of his older comedies.

PnArdyPnArdyMay 13, 200710an excellent switching places comedy chevy chase style. The whole movie is about who gets to the million dollar suitcase first. It takes place in a single apartment where key characters constantly bump into each other and improvise. Loved it.

ChrisP.May 14, 20078Better than anything Chevy has done in at least a dozen years - makes good use of his comic skills in an esemble - rather than expecting to carry an entire film on his own.

JorgB.Feb 8, 200710This is a very good comedy and a great comeback for Chevy Chase. Two tumbs up!

60Never-hilarious but often-quite-amusing film.

Once the farce finds its stride, however, it's generally worth the wait.

60Greif obviously ascribes to the Blake Edwardian school of comedy, laying out gags with commendable topographical precision. But, unlike Edwards' unique mixture of sophistication and slapstick, Funny Money falls squarely in the tradition of pure farce, itself an anomaly in this age of aggressively abrasive personality comedies.
