BitBurnFeb 9, 20057More like 7.5 actually. Those two boys "Cheech & Chong 2005"-style are hilarious!! A good and original comedy.

SnapdragonAug 1, 200410Hilarious! I got a big kick out of the "EXTREME" stupid white guys, especially when they get excited over a bag of Extreme Doritos at a convenience store. And of course they get what they deserve in the end, because the universe unfolds as it should.

malloryj.Feb 4, 200510When I saw previews for this movie I told myself that there is no way that I would see it. Well Im glad to say that I was wrong. Hands down one of the most clever movies that I have seen in a while.

Steve-OA.Oct 3, 20049If it wasn't for Anchorman or Shaun of The Dead, it would easily be the best comedy of the year. I need to see Kal and John more often. I just saw this solely on the fact that both were from great teen comedies (John: American Pie, Kal: Van Wilder).
-
-
RayRayJul 31, 200410Easily the funniest movie of the year. In the spirit of, yet superior to, the American Pie trilogy. MUCH funnier than Dude, Where's My Car -- much more intelligent -- and Ashton Kutcher can't act his way out of a freakin' paper bag. There MUST be a sequel to this thing. Amersterdam, baby.

-
MFunkJul 30, 200410This is truly a classic. Look out for one of the best scenes ever when Kumar (Kal Penn) goes through an extended flash forward of what his life would be like having married a bag of pot.

MarcDSep 3, 200410I've never laughed so hard in my life. It got good from the moment the Burger Shack dude wanted to burn his own restaurant down while dreaming about a White Castle burger. Haha.

-
-
CheryW.Jan 30, 20050Typical male jerk-off sex fantasy that ironically casts two nerds as underdogs to be sympathized with, while degradingly portraying women as sluts and whores.
-
-
MindcrimeJan 30, 20058Definately a very funny movie. Laughed my ass of every time I,ve seen it. This generations Cheech and Chong.
-
-
JackMeFeb 20, 20051I do not understand how a moronic movie of this caliber gets high ratings. I would assume 13-18 year old males are the ones giving this garbage 9s and 10s. If you think this movie is good then I would imagine you could put any 2 idiots on the big screen smoking dope and trashing women and it will be a masterpiece. I weep for the future.

-
GeorgeC.Feb 20, 20050I was not high watching this film. I do not enjoy spending money to watch trash. i have some intelligence. this movie does not.

-
RachelK.Jul 25, 200510I really liked the movie the sexy east indian guy really made the show better. So it was really funny when they showed him with the weed in love.
-
-
MattS.Jul 31, 20058Very funny film, some parts are a lil desperate for a laugh but scenes such as when Kumar day dreams about him and his newly found love (big bag o weed) make this film a must rent if not a must buy for the true comedy lovers or stoners :D
-
-
DanielV.Apr 1, 20073I was barely interested enough to finish watching this self-indulgent movie. Not very funny, and so filled with stereotypes - especially odd for a movie that aims to reverse the Asian/Indian image. The one thing I did enjoy was Neil Patrick Harris' cameo.
-
-
[Anonymous]Jul 29, 200410Without a doubt one of the funniest movies i've ever seen. If it's not the funniest, it's top three. If you havent seen it, see it, and if you've seen it, see it again!
-
-
SangP.Jul 29, 200410This movie was good.
-
-
NateBJul 31, 200410This movie is really really funny. If you liked Euro Trip or Old School, you'd probably love this movie. Has some great toliet humor and also some very witty and creative jokes as well. I also loved how the minorities are normal and all the white dudes are crazy as hell. Plus it has almost as good of a cameo as Matt Damon in Euro Trip.
-
-
WongitAug 1, 20049Pure brilliance. This is one of the funniest films i have see this summer. if not the funniest. John Cho, and Kal Penn are one hell of a team. This was just as funny as the first two american pie movies, ad much funnier then the third movie.
-
-
AnayB.Aug 1, 200410This movie was damn funny! IF you are brown, its even funnier!... If you liked this movie, make sure you see some other movies by Kal Penn such as... Van Wilder and American Desi...
-
-
CojackAug 4, 200410Pure hilarity. I can't believe this movie isnt getting better ratings, but i guess most critics dont have much of a sense of humour after going through a thesaurus all day trying to sound intelligent. This is simply the funniest movie so far this year, with a bonus to that if you are asian, brown or a stoner.
-
-
AmandaAug 4, 200410This movie was totally hilarious and even better than the trailers suggested!

DanB.Jan 11, 20059This is an amazing movie regardless of your drug habits. I don't smoke up and loved it. It's inspirational.

-
JiriJ.Jan 17, 200510Great movie. Lots of fun!
-
-
PeterJ.Jan 22, 20058Very funny movie. Most movies like this bomb, but the cast really makes this movie. I am craving White Castle as well. I live in Northeast PA, and the nearest White Castle? Yes, you guessed it. Cherry Hill, NJ.
-
-
NielsV.Jan 25, 200510Best movie ever!!! well, on this moment. Haha. Greets from Holland!
-
-
TylerN.Jan 9, 20059In the overly used category of "teen-off-to-college" comedy that is starting to become generic, this movie is suprisingly original. Spawned from two masterpieces of the genre, Harold and Kumar never fails to make you laugh...hard.
-
-
PatS.Feb 13, 20059H+K is a film that plays perfectly to the audience it's trying to grab. Not just stoners... but... actually... yes...just stoners, but stoners with a conscience. Or something. Stoners who like White Castle.
-
-
ArthurO.Feb 23, 20059The people giving this movie one's and zero's definately take movies too seriously. For those of you without anything stuck back there, check this movie out. Rude, crude, offensive: this movie is all of those, but that's just how I like my stupid comedies.
-
-
d'arcym.Mar 2, 200510Lighten up! If you can't laugh at this movie then maybe you should think twice about what you do laugh at. Lets face it, any movie with Neil Patrick Harris, as himself mind you, blowing lines off a girls badunkadunk HAS to be a good movie.
-
-
MattLMar 23, 20050Pathetic. That says it all.
-
-
khalilApr 17, 20059Dude, for the 5 people in here that complains about how dumb this movie is. can you please get a life and explain comedy ? if harold and kumar isn't comedy, well give me a break, do yo know what comedy is even about? it's about how dumb people can get. if you don't like comedy type of movies then just don't watch them + complain about them. that's just senseless.
-
-
D.R.May 9, 20055For the first 20-30 minutes of the movie, I was pleasantly surprised and really settled in for a great comedy. But after that (starting with the racoon scene and ending with Neil Patrick Harris) things just plummeted. We shut it off at that point. Really disappointing as it had potential to be a great comedy classic.

RyanM.Jun 23, 200610A generation-defining masterwork. It's a one-of-a-kind journey into the mind of the 21st century stoner, and perhaps the funniest film since the ball dropped in 2000.
-
-
GaryB.Jul 29, 20049This is a damn funny movie filled with a ton of creative jokes and better than usual bathroom humor and dumb jokes. Penn and Cho are a great comedic team with perfect timing. The movie even throws in some good points about racism and karma.

-
MikeS.Nov 15, 200510Funny! Hilarious! If you don't laugh at this one, then you have some serious depression issues.

StephanieB.Jan 27, 200510This was one of the best movies i have ever seen in my life i never laughed that hard in a movie straight through i thought it would be stupid as hell boy was i in for a surprise when i saw it i give it 2 thumbs up way up way to go john and kal.
-
-
DKnightFeb 24, 20058This movie was stupid but very funny, it almost reminded me of a Cheech and Chong type flick [Ed: Yes!]. I would recommend it to anyone who isnt a stuck up prick when it comes to drugs, language, and sexual content.
-
-
RobD.Mar 15, 200510This movie was great. The two leads were fantastic, the comedy was OK (but lose the damn cheetah), but mainly, finally, someone acknolwedged that you can put someone in the lead of a stoner comedy (besides Cheech and Chong) that isn't a white person. Way the hell better than Dude, Where's My Car!
-
-
SunnyS.Mar 17, 200502 geeks look for a burger. Really.

[Anonymous]Aug 22, 20057A very funny movie - liked it much more than I expected to. And Neil Patrick Harris should get an Oscar for his supporting role! Talk about acting against type!
-
-
DeanS.Jan 23, 20073If I was sixteen and hadn't seen these jokes before, I would have thought it was hysterical. Since I'm not I rarely cracked a smile.
-
-
Nov 19, 20118Cult classic. I enjoyed it and I thought it was pretty funny. Yes it does get a little boring and the jokes maybe a bit too childish but its still a good comedy.
-
Jun 21, 20119This movie is a minor classic. I finally got the chance to watch it after seeing the edited-for-TV version of the sequel umpteenth times. Now all I have to do is see the regular version of the sequel... and be the first in line for the third movie this Christmas!
-
Jul 30, 201110Excellent comedy, it grips the viewer throughout the whole movie. They're like a better version of cheech and chong. Or the two guys from the movie How High!
-
Nov 9, 20115Because of movies like this there are a lot of addicts, but is kind of funny, i like this kind of movies when in a road trip or a crazy night happen a lot of random things, is a funny movie but is not good to make drugs look cool

May 26, 20128This movie has it all for a good movie mood. They got it? Of course, if they did, is very good, very good. It's a movie out of the ordinary, humor is the best. It made ââme want to smoke pot and eat some burgers to write this critique. lol ...

70A blissfully silly, character-driven road movie with impressive laugh-per-minute performance specs.
-
60It boldly subverts stereotypes and challenges conventional wisdom by presenting affable Korean and Indian antiheroes who are just as sex-crazed, irresponsible, mischief-prone, and chemically altered as their white counterparts.
-
80Gleefully upends expectations and delivers an energetic comedy tracing two guys'all-night search for the perfect White Castle burger.
