Deep movie emotions for me usually come not when the characters are sad, but when they are good. You will see what I mean.
  2. An extraordinary and effective film.
  3. A strange history lesson that leaves us more overlectured than properly overwhelmed.

Whether what others say, this is certainly one of the best dramas out there. My intention to watch this film was really for suspense, but I got more than what I expected. And this film goes to my list as the most moving film I have ever seen. Can't help but cry. Expand

I was 11 when I watched this heartbreaking movie! I can say it made my tear up watching people being killed. I handled it well though because the point in my class was to see what is actually happening in the world of ours. It touched my heart so much! Wouldn't you think I am too young to watch a rated R movie? Expand

Amazing film. If I told myself Catch A Fire was a movie I’d share with someone I knew in a heartbeat, Hotel Rwanda is a film I think people the world over ought to have seen. On a rough and standard-less scale, I gave it a nine and a half out of 10; only for it’s abrupt end upon resolute; a quality I find extremely undesirable in any case. At times, I had to remind myself that though it might be closely based on reality, it was still only a movie: limited in its scope. An exposition on the colonial betrayal one ethnic group bestows on the other or a word on the sharp revenge that was taken against the oppressors portrayed the might have made for a more neutral perspective. But hey, again, not a documentary. What’s a neutral perspective. As hard as some scenes are to watch, I feel even a strong stomached child could sit through it and would be made better for not being spared. Expand
