Benefits from blend of live actors with computer-generated effects and backgrounds. Feature doesn't add up to much more than an enjoyable novelty.

Though conceptually clever, the results look stagy and schematic and recall nothing more than a pale imitation of Terry Gilliam's "Brazil" (1985).
  3. Repellant to look at and fairly inscrutable, the film does at least offer vivid if at times overly broad performances from the three leads.
  4. The film's many voids are not meaningfully filled by all the monsters and assembly-line workers that crop up.

On a spare stage set, Dresser's clever script is allowed breadth for contemplation; here it's sodden with animated sludge. Watch it with your eyes closed.
  6. The movie's a botch, but at least it'll make you feel good about your own daily drudgery.

Saw it about a year ago. Clever script is dumbed down by the rather bad-looking CGI. Feels overlong as well.

I had anticipated a much different movie, though stylized to have unique aesthetics it still seemed like a student project. It was quite excrutiating to sit through. Full Review »
