Much ado about nothing. Too bad Kee wasn't inspired by the beautiful music he was recording. He had the talent.

I found many things to like about this movie. The soundtrack, Terrance Anderson's perforamnce, and the cinematography are great but the powerful acting in this film can't quite outweigh its flaws. The film's portrayal of I found many things to like about this movie. The soundtrack, Terrance Anderson's perforamnce, and the cinematography are great but the powerful acting in this film can't quite outweigh its flaws. The film's portrayal of bottled-up creative energy rising to the surface after years of sumblimation is by turns magical and schmaltzy a la Mr. Holland's Opus. Sadly the film does more than add reality with its misogyny. It glorifies it. Anderson's character DJAY is only sympathetic to a point. The film excells in the portrayal of a man in pursuit of his dreams on the one hand yet the fact that DJay uses and abuses the women around him diminishes the compassion we might have for his situation.
