Solid acting, especially from the women, and a few good Colin Farrell jokes make this familiar tale better than it probably should be.

What gives In the Land of Women its singular charm is the charismatic Adam Brody, the star of TV's "The OC."
  3. The 27-year-old Kasdan displays an ability to bring a refreshing, human touch to what could be overly familiar material that echoes what his father did in films like "The Big Chill" and "Body Heat."
  4. This comedy drama is capably acted and undeniably touching in spots.
  5. 50
In the Land of Women sounds like a piece of cheap science fiction about the last man on earth. If you're the lovelorn mother and daughter in Jonathan Kasdan's first movie, a grating romantic drama, that's painfully close to the truth.
  6. 50
The picture is so gentle, it barely leaves an impression.
  7. Combines hugs and ''pain'' and dialogue so fakey-cute it makes your ears hurt.

Absolutely superb. This film is Kasdan through and through, though it be written and directed by a son of the great Lawrence Kasdan, Jon Kasdan. It is not a light romantic comedy, nor is it really a comedy, or even a "romance" per se. What it is is a good drama and well worth the Ten that I have given it! Expand

Stay away from this movie, it is not good at all and its not often I will say that.
If you are looking for a comedy don't watch it because I
didn't find it funny at all
I am giving it a 3 because Meg Ryan did a great job and that is it
