What a powerful film about a topic that is rarely talked about. The writers did an amazing job with showing the stages of PTSD, and the actors brought so much emotion and heart to the film, it was hard not to get attached to all of them. The film brought the struggles veterans have with getting help when they get home to my attention, something that I didn't know was an issue. It was entertaining and educational.

For a first attempt at producing, writing, directing, and everythingelseing a movie, the filmmakers get an A plus PLUS. And on top of that they address a tragic social issue, an issue that will come out of the shadows because of the movie's creation. Kudos to all involved in Joe's War.

I thought this movie was well written. The message that was presented of the struggles our servicemen go through upon returning from war was powerfully portrayed by the leading actor. The supporting cast helped to make the story of his battle with inner demons very real. There were moments when I wanted to throttle him and many moments when I wanted to reach out and comfort him. His struggles became the audience's. Powerful message.

Michael Markiewicz is awesome in this film about the struggles of PTSD. A Solid film, about a very real issue. great cast and heartfelt story. Joe Lisi, Armand Assante, Ed Asner, Tom Sizemore and Louis Vanaria are exceptional along with a very talented cast of supporting actors. Tina Grimm handles a strong female lead with style. Awareness for this illness is a growing need in this nation.

Well acted, realistic portrayal of what happens to a Vet that waits for PTSD treatment. A modern day "Deer Hunter" look at the ripple effects of war for the young people of today.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, smartly written, and well-acted. Brings to life the struggles many of our brave soldiers have gone thru upon returning from combat.
