It careens from one tonal extreme to the next, uncertain about whether it wants to be a gritty drama, camp artifact, or violent prison-sploitation flick.

Full of overwrought campery and vicious drag queens, K-11 feels in places like a deranged John Waters remake of "The Shawshank Redemption."

More like an on-the-nose parody of Lee Daniels directing an episode of Oz, K-11 is a pulpy, tone-deaf mess of confused directorial intent—exploitation laughs one minute, somber tragedy the next.

To borrow RuPaul’s delightful catchphrase, the only possible response to a project like this is to advise it to “sashay away.”

K-11 has the makings of a cult movie campfest but little of the authentic wit, edge or outré vision it would take to get there. What's left is a dreary jailhouse drama that somehow managed to imprison a few notable actors within its lurid walls.

I just watched this movie cause Goran Visnjic played in it. He acts really good, and beside his character you will see a ton of cliches, messed up characters, shady environments and everything else that goes along with this kind of deviant behavior. The movie really promised something at the start, but as you progress you will find even more violence and even more "criminals" (let's just name them that way, shall we?). Looking this from the protagonists perspective is really ... plainly screwed. Was worth watching till the end if you have a lot of nerves and a lot of free time. Expand

K11 is presented through a large number of overly messed up scenes which weren't really necessary. It wasn't all bad though. K11 also has some interesting scenes that make it worth watching as long as you don't mind sitting through the more sickening parts of the story. Expand

The story about violence and gangs and illegal distribution has been wrongly compelled. You should stay away from this K11 this season. Collapse
